Is there any military spouse support groups or websites to meet other spouse's going through the same type of thing?? What about information sites that inform you about what is available to you?? My husband just left for basic a few says ago and I am having a hard time dealing with his absence. Yes I know he is ONLY in basic but that doesn't mean I don't miss him. Right now I haven't even got his address to mail him.

My husband was shipped off to Fort Leanoard Wood Monday (Aug 28). I know military pay schedule is the 1st and the 15th. So my question is will his check be deposited on the 1st or 15th of Sept?? Will it be any longer than that???? He is filing me as a dependent and we already had our bank account so they will not have to open an account for us. He is also the only source of income.(I don't know if this has any effect on how soon you get your check) Also, will his first check be a full or half check??? Will the housing be on the check as well... full or half??

I am a Canadian resident and I was wondering how the city has been holding up.I've been hearing stories that nothing has been done to restore the suburbs and surroundings.Only the downtown part has been cleaned for events such as Mardi Gras.Is this true?Where can I find a site that the info is accurate? Ok heres my situation..my girlfriend is 17 years old. I am 21 years old. Her parents have decided thats too much of an age difference which I think is a bit ridiculous. So we were wondering, if it comes down to it, can they charge me with anything as far as like statutory rape or can they make her come home if she were to decide to stay here without their permission? This is in maine. Basically Im wondering what exactly the police can do about it, or if they cant do anything? Thanks =)

always tell people who question or disagree with the government to "leave"? "If you don't like it here, then leave!" I see this all the time, I saw it again right now (hence my question). Has no one ever criticized their parents, but still love them? Being critical or disagreeing with the government doesn't equal hating America, for heaven's sake. Anyway, it's not that easy to leave your country and become a citizen of another country, so any Americans that did want to leave probably, realistically, wouldn't be able to. can't we disagree at times and still love our country?

Personally I don't think it's a realistic policy. I suppose we can encourage it where people already want democracy, but we can't keep overthrowing governments and imposing "democracy". What do you think?
