We have had immigrants coming across that border for many many years. But we know who they are and what they are doing. They have a right to work. They aren't here to stay. The illegals are a different story. I don't care what type of spin is put on this issue, it's very simple illegals are illegals.

You are correct in your assumption that work would not get done. Now think about what would happen next if illegals were sent back en masse.
There is no doubt in my mind that it would cause the congress to FINALLY pass a migrant worker visa bill and all of those people could come back legally. This is the best reason why everyone should support strong enforcement now.

It seems to have be occluded by the answerers that the people who picked fruit, fried burgers, washed the dishes, etc... have always been immigrants. The populace of this country is immigrants, duh?
The fact is mexican immigrants have a productive edge when it comes to labor intensive careers. They remind us of early americans. They want to work and they don't mind earning it. If you think for a minute that every teen in america just wants to jump in and serve burgers your blind. The immigrants of today will be the citizens of tommorrow. Just like last time and the time before that and so on and so on.

Illegal fruit pickers are making us pay higher prices for farm products. If the illegals were deported it would force farmers to invest in technology that would have machines pick our fruits and it would lower our prices in the long-term.
La Raza is a pro-criminal organization that openly supports criminal activities. They should be arrested.
