really this is what it boils down to. Enforce laws or not? Who wants to enforce laws. Who doesn't want to enforce laws?

You think I am crazy? Well give me the handbook about what laws we are allowed to follow and what laws we cannot follow.

Seriously, if I can get a slurpee for free, I wanna know if that is legal, because I love slurpees.

LOL there's no such thing as a 'free slurpee', but what there is is a BIG disconnect these days between Congress and their responsibility to prevent people from just rolling in at will into our country.

The answer's simple, when the special interests have enough money to buy the result they want, the law doesn't mean anything anymore. Big Lettuce et. al. want that cheap mexican labor, plain, and simple, and you'll LIKE it, 'citizen'...LOLOL

Remove all the laws and almost everybody will do the hideous crimes. Only few people are good enough to follow the universal rule-do no harm to yourself and to your fellowmen.
Sure, you can get a slurpee for free, as long as the store owner says its free or else you're in trouble.

Once it becomes the norm to disregard laws, a society quickly spirals down to the mob rule of democracy then to anarchy - that is bullying and intimidation to force others to comply.

Our Republican form of government was created to protect us against the perils of a democracy and anarchy. As Ben Franklin asked, can we keep it?

The problem with laws is that they try to enforce all of them equally and it does not work because it totally ignores the fact that humans are individuals. Common sense is thrown out infavor of irrationality.
