She apparently used the insurance money provided her after her son was killed in Iraq.

In case you can't remember who she is, she has tried to get President Bush to meet with her to discuss the war in Iraq and he refuses.

Since he tends to insulate himself from all but the cheering mindless hordes of knee jerk religous and right wing nut jobs, do you think this type of exposure to someone who has been affected by the consequences of his ill-thought war strategy will actually work to get his attention or will he send the SS over and haul her off in a rail car to Guantonimo?

Within the USA, as of today, no doubt there are true Americans of the Moslem faith and there are moslem fanatics who are bent on killing Americans. We will have to depend on the true American Moslems to help us uncover the fanatics for we may not know who they are and we don't want to hurt our true America Moslems.

In our communites, most of us know who is dangerous. When war comes, we may have to become informers for the benefit of our country. We went through this in WW II, and it may become a necessity again.

i mean strictly naval battles, like carrier to carrier warfare, subs and destroyers battling, ship to ship warfare, it seems like naval forces are used to support land forces.

Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,
And to him Abraham apportioned a tenth part of everything. He is first, by translation of his name, king of righteousness, and then he is also king of Salem, that is, king of peace.
He is without father or mother or genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but resembling the Son of God he continues a priest forever.

What do you think of this new law ?HB 1023 requires people who apply for non-emergency government benefits to sign an affidavit attesting to their legal immigration status. They also must show one of four IDs: a Colorado driver's license, a Colorado ID, a merchant-mariner card or a Native American tribal document. Then an agency worker must check the applicant's immigration status on an online system known as SAVE (Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements). How will this affect the "Illegal population" in that state?

If conservative means keeping things the same, how can they actively promote change? It doesn't even mean returning to old ways when they return to government, which you could say was conservative. Perhaps 'New Conservativism' is on the cards???

When WWIII Comes, The USA will no doubt be loaded with crazy bomb-carrying kids and women trying to get a fast trip to Islamic La-La-land. They will have to be killed quickly. Will our people be ready for that?

House passes minimum wage hike, estate tax cut
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- By a vote of 230-180, the House gave the go-ahead early Saturday to legislation that gradually boosts the minimum wage from $5.15 to $7.25 an hour, phased over three years.

The measure also included a cut in the federal inheritance tax mostly paid by the wealthy.

Republican leaders made the minimum wage increase more palatable to their ranks by attaching it to a package of tax cuts they've been pushing, including a major reduction in the estate tax. (Posted 2:30 a.m.)

background:
i was sworn into the army national guard for the first time at MEPS the day before yesterday. i guess i am in delayed entrance because i am a senior this year, and therefore can't go to basic until next summer. i passed all of the tests (obviously, because i got in).

my question:
i took a drug test that i am about 75% sure i passed. i had done marijuana once about 24 days before i took the drug test. i passed the one my recruiter gave me, but it was faint. so what will happen if my drug test comes back positive (it takes 72 hours to process)? will i be immediately kicked out or what? please keep in mind that i have already sworn in.

please answer if you can help me.

In Australia voting on all Government levels is compulsory.
We embrace that as one cannot complain about their elected Party if you have no say in the election process.
If you are an American, do you not vote and still complain about your Government?
