Pleadings from celebrities, a former first lady and fellow Republicans did not move President Bush from his determination to reject, with the first veto of his presidency, a bill expanding federally funded embryonic stem cell research.

Nor was Bush swayed by two days of emotional debate in Congress, punctuated by stories of personal and family suffering, that plunked lawmakers into the intersection of politics, morality and science.

"The president believes strongly that for the purpose of research, it's inappropriate for the federal government to finance something that many people consider murder. He's one of them," spokesman Tony Snow said.

Warn the terrorist nations that we will dump millions of gallons of pig juices/blood etc on their population until all the terrorists surrender.
Muslims can't touch the pork?
we have a lot of planes that are designed to do that, like firefighting planes and tankers that can dump their payload.
If I thought I would go to hell, I would turn him in as fast as possible!

Maybe we should equip our troups with super soakers and clarified pig fat so it stays liquid, and that will stop the idiots with dynamite vests!
Spray first and ask questions later!

Bush has been harping about "the war on terror" and now Isreal has hopped on board the bombing bus, but my question is who are the real terrorists? Bombing villages and towns full of innocents to hope to flush out the guilty is just as bad as what they did to us. Remember how you felt during 9/11, we're doing the same thing to them. When is the violence enough, when will we stop killing and stop being afraid? When can our boys come home and why aren't our government officials answering our questions?

Remember, an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

It does not matter if a person is for or against the war. We must support our troops. The gov. is not providing them with things they need for everyday living. These wonded soliders end up in a hospital with the clothes on their back and nothing else. These make ship hospitals are running out of supplies. The troups are not even given a hot breakfast. They eat a mean from one of those army pouches. They are not given postage stamps to write back home. They need care packages with personal hygeene items and snack foods, magazines, and croos word puzzels and seek a word. The water tastes so bad it can bot be drank with out adding gaterade to hide the taste. My 11 year old daughter is on a mission to make sure these hospital get medical supplies and that the soldiers are sent care packages. Those without families. The soliders put beannie babies in their pockets and candy and hand them out to children on the street who have never had a toy or candy. We have to support or soldiers. HELP

I've heard CNN referred to as the crescent news network. It seems obvious that the media is liberally biased, and I was just wondering what your opinions are on the matter.

Of course he's going to be voting for something and then against it later. And of course to someone ignorant it may look like he was changing his view or stance on a topic. He was a senator. Bills contain more than one issue so he may have been voting for/against a certain aspect of the bill and not what Bush said he voted for/against.

I have stated before that a constitutional maendment that gives children, born on American soil, only the sme status as their parents. an illegal's child would be illegal and a legal alien would sahre its mother's status as a legla alien, too.
No change, of course, for citizens.

Would this not be a very good thing and remove one of the motivational factors for people to come here illegally?

I think so!
I am sure that some would go so far as to say the death penalty as if they were assisting an enemy in a time of war. I do not go that far!

they raided s.africa, they r still crying over their farms in zimbabwe, think of it they take over the african countries, oppress the owners, claim they founded a country even when pple lived there, and live better than the owners, and employ them as servants, yet you can only clean if you do get into their country, a job there wont do. educate your people! even right now, they are stuck in different african countries, and cos of their money, wiping us clean. and most of them started as illegals. i am a southafrican, i shd know, better treat the illegals well cos most of them are not going anywhere and you will have crime on your streets if you displace them. you caused it, you pay for it

Listen to this, before the jews made israel on palestinian land, thousands of jews used to live in all Islamic&arabic countries(like Egypt,Yemen,Moroco,,,,,etc) hapilly and no one bothered them, they used to live as citicenze of these countries, like all other citizens from all religions, they had all their rights preserved, same like the jews who live in usa & europe today.
But after the zionists took the land of palastine by FORCE,and made a jewish country on it,most of the jews immigrated from their original Muslim countries to Israel, and gess what they did to their former home countries were they was born and lived all their lives,
They turned on them and started fighting & kiling Muslims and Arabs, kiling the same ppl they used to live with and grew up with, also they tried a lot to invade there former home countries(Egypt,lebanon,Jordan... massacred their ppl, only cause they found the power to do that with the help of the big nation then(uk,France&usa) .
