It does not matter if a person is for or against the war. We must support our troops. The gov. is not providing them with things they need for everyday living. These wonded soliders end up in a hospital with the clothes on their back and nothing else. These make ship hospitals are running out of supplies. The troups are not even given a hot breakfast. They eat a mean from one of those army pouches. They are not given postage stamps to write back home. They need care packages with personal hygeene items and snack foods, magazines, and croos word puzzels and seek a word. The water tastes so bad it can bot be drank with out adding gaterade to hide the taste. My 11 year old daughter is on a mission to make sure these hospital get medical supplies and that the soldiers are sent care packages. Those without families. The soliders put beannie babies in their pockets and candy and hand them out to children on the street who have never had a toy or candy. We have to support or soldiers. HELP

I have a soldier there who has told me how much the soldiers lacked. Especially phone cards to call home or loved ones. Also said how they need things like chapstick for the arid weather,foot powder for burning feet,their eyes, nose and clothes get full of sand, so bottle eye/tear drops to moisten is needed, laundry soap like from laundromats b/c they wash clothes in the river, body talc because the heat makes their clothes chafe their skin with terrible rashes,and deoderant, toothpaste /toothbrushes. I sent phone cards.The phone cards are the most important b/c they get depressed from not talking to loved ones-BTW the ATT$25.00 cards are needed b/c the units are doubled despite what card says. They dont get a card personally, but they are available to use for a call, so one card allows more than one soldier to call home. I bought sample items from Walmart, about 15.00 per soldier, enough for 4 soldiers. Email me...I had ideas of how to reach more people than my circle...YES, something needs to be done to raise awareness. Thanks for asking.

Where are you getting your information. The Troops and Soldiers are well taken care over in Iraq, I've been there. I can't comment on Afghan.
