OK, the question isn't well-phrased, but the answer is YES. We are living in a "peaceful" world in spite of technological advancements.

Things are becoming a bit rough right now, but overall in the past 20 years, things haven't been all that bad.

Also, what do natural disasters, unemployment, and economic troubles have to do with peace? I guess I just don't understand your point...

Nobody ever said those innovations are gonna solve the world's problems...

Our very essence is of a hostile, war-like, territorial beast. Unless somebody invents a cure for that, nothings changing.
