We were attacked and we went to war to defend ourselves.

But what would have happened if, midway through the war, with us fighting a real, known threat to our very country, our president decided to pull back most of our troups and instead send them to invade Canada because Canada might have had a few sympathizers or might have had a few illegal gallons of Canadian whisky?

Doesn't George even realize the real bad guy wasn't even in Iran?

if all of the sudden, america woke up one morning and realized all illegal immigrants had dissapeared, the following would happen in the exact order:

Day 1. Celebration
Day 2. More celebration
Day 3. Sudden rise in food prices halts some celebration
Day 4. Public bathrooms begin to become dirty and messy
Day 5. Schools soon join bathrooms in dirtiness
Day 6. Suddenly, the lawn is looking sort of tall
Day 7. More price increases as many farmers go out of business
Day 8. Suddenly, people wanting houses stop getting them
Day 9. People start to realize now they have to actually work
Day 10. Many of the US (especially the south) colapses (sp)

so there you have it. by day 10, the USA will be begging illegals to come back as they realize life kind of sux without mexicans! lol

I'm pro-gun. i hunt , but would use them in emergency's or self-defence.
if you are anti-gun consider this: in Great Britian and Australia (i believe) guns have been banned. crime rates have soared and haven't stopped, black market weapons are cheap as dirt, and the law abiding citizens have been disarmed, taking away their greatest defence. you know, the thing a criminal fears most is the victim having a firearm.
so i'd like to hear your answers on this.

I'd just like your opinion - many countries which seem to have a history of being socially liberal, like Canada, Germany, Australia, Japan, Mexico, have chosen conservatives/moderates to run their countries - why?

I don't need details - I know the candidates in each of the countries listed above and the situations in each of the elections, but I feel like I am missing some trend - a trend that was never predicted by any magazine or news organization that I know of.
