if all of the sudden, america woke up one morning and realized all illegal immigrants had dissapeared, the following would happen in the exact order:
Day 1. Celebration
Day 2. More celebration
Day 3. Sudden rise in food prices halts some celebration
Day 4. Public bathrooms begin to become dirty and messy
Day 5. Schools soon join bathrooms in dirtiness
Day 6. Suddenly, the lawn is looking sort of tall
Day 7. More price increases as many farmers go out of business
Day 8. Suddenly, people wanting houses stop getting them
Day 9. People start to realize now they have to actually work
Day 10. Many of the US (especially the south) colapses (sp)
so there you have it. by day 10, the USA will be begging illegals to come back as they realize life kind of sux without mexicans! lol

I hear ya Buddie, these people don't realize how lost they will be if us Latinos leave..WELL i hope they get there kids on fixing their lawn, farming the veggies. and most important...they will lose money and they will be paying more for the things they thought were right when now they realize OH...this is hard and will realize that all illegals are good workers and have an intention of a better life like any else would...Pero....like their always right!!!....in their mind...we will see what happens in the end.....you guys should go watch the movie a day without the mexicans.....it will teach you something

I can not give a real data on the others but ag I do know.
Less than 1.267% of illegals work in ag. Those are such thinks as fruit pickers. The food would not go up much at all. The amount they take form our social systems is unreal. LA county alone last year in only welfare was 276 million not adding in health care and schooling.

One of the biggest mistakes made by illegals is that they over estimate their value. They thought they had some type of power which is why they tried those demonstrations. They soon came to realize that Americans can push harder than any country on the planet. Joke or not, illegals have made themselves a target in America.

I completely agree with you on the fact that we need Mexicans in our country to continue to do the jobs that they do. They do in fact work very hard ... HOWEVER, they need to be here legally, so they contribute to the community, and the country as a whole. They should be paying taxes and really become a part of Amercia, especially since they are the ones choosing to be here because it's much better than where they came from.

That is ridiculous. Employers who hired illegal immigrants would feel the squeeze as they found different workers. That dislocation would not last.
The benefits as our schools and health care began to recover would be permenant, however.
