Bill Gates is a good man he is a Democrat. He doesn't let greed dictate his voting. He would rather pay a little higher taxes himself and give us all a tax break.

Well, considering that Warren Buffet is a Democrat and they are friends one might assume both were Democrat.

But I'm pretty sure Gates is an Independent. He has contributed to candidates from both parties and he only supports moderates.

I have to say i came across this question b.c i was wondering the same thing myself, but after thinking about it for a couple of minutes, i realized that if you are as rich as bill gates i dont think it matters what political party you are. Even if he supports a party that believes in higher taxes and he ends up paying higher taxes, he will still have enought money left over to what ever he wants.
I guess i am a believer in once you reach so far (moneywise), politics is below you...(if that makes sence?)

I would have to say more independent. If wealth were to dictate politics then all of Hollywood would be Republican (which they are clearly not). This notion that just because you are filthy rich makes you lean a certain way politically is nonsense. Those kind of statements are usually espoused by extreme left wing lunatics who have no idea what they are saying.

Best guess would be Republican. He's rich, so right off the bat theres a prime reason for my assumption. Plus Microsoft keeps getting hit with Anti-Trust fines and such, another staple reason why he would be republican.
