A Capitalist society will, over time, produce higher quality goods at lower cost. However, many of the "costs" of products are not factored in (such as environmental destruction, health problems, etc.). The US tends to have massive per capita consumption rates compared to other countries, and we are arguably the most "capitalistic" society.

I was arrested the other day for a DUI. Before I took the sobriety tests, the officer asked me to spit my gum out. Then right before I took the breathalizer the cop asked what kind of gum I was chewing. I told him Orbit. He didn't say anything and gave me the breathalizer. My BAC was .08. I heard orbit gum shows up a little bit on the breathalizer. Can I make a case in court saying the gum put me above the legal limit (.08), meaning I would've had about .07, had I not chewed the gum, so I shouldn't recieve a DUI?

American currency is metric and has always been. You probably know that even in countries that keep some old measures during the changeover--The imperial gallon is of a diffferent size to U.S. Canadian liquid ounce is not the same as U.S. There was a time during the changeovers in some countries (Australia comes to mind) that non-metric shipments of U.S. tooling were refused at their borders. To make it work, the U.S. industry had to go metric.

How to protect yourself:

1. never go out side, there satellites are watching you. they are good enough to read the next on your newspaper.

2. never use a computer! the day you log on to the "internet" they know who you are, they read your emails, they know you history, and there is a "bug" in every computer, listening.

3. never use the phone! they record everyphone call you make and automatically re-directs your call to a goverment official when the machine hears the following words: bomb, terrorists, osama, allah, 9-11, george bush, and white house.

4. never release your real name! i suggest the alias: rusty shackleford.

5. as of this day, you have no friends. everyone is the enemy. the only person you can trust is no-one. not even yourself. spread the word !!!

Wear a tinfoil hat, drink only kool aid, and never eat a breakfast burrito because they contain nano camera technology.

When clinton bombed Iraq in December of 1998, did Saddam have weapons of mass destruction?

Anyone who believes the 1st amendment applies to those who don't agree with the Conservative adgenda is a socialist.
