They're definitely not likely to be moderate, that's for sure. It always seems to be people on either of the far sides of the political spectrum who ask questions just to be insulting. I'm not sure if it's more likely to be conservatives or liberals. It's probably pretty equal. People are not often welcoming to opinions that differ from their own.

I've seen it from all sides, but the liberals seem to be the worse. Athiest bash Christians. Fundamentalist frequently bash homosexuals. Some conservatives bash liberals, but it's more comman the other way around. The Bush haters (as opposed to Bush critics) are the worse. They don't bother to point out any facts; they just want to say something ugly.

I would say statistically speaking they are more likely to be movement ideologues on either the 'left' or the 'right'. Moderates tend not to believe in such grandiose ideals and therefore tend to have not quite as strong or inflamatory political beliefs. There are of course some centrist movements that are quite radical.

I think the worst questions come from extremists who aren't really looking for answers, but opportunities to insult those that don't agree with them. Doesn't matter the ideology.

You're going to get them from both the left and right. There's two flavors of political Kool-Aid, red and blue.
