Can an employee of an at-will employer be fired for receiving LEGAL unemployment benefits after having their hours cut in half? I was called into my managers office today and told that my unemployment benefits are hurting the practice more than helping, and that my job may be jepordized because of it. Is this legal in Michigan?

How can we call Sadam a criminal for killing Kurds that were wanting to seperate from their country when the U.S. government fought the Civil War, which killed 10's of thousands, to keep the South a part of it's country? Buy the way, Lincoln was neutral on the salavery issue until well into the war so don't assume that there was any other reason other than keeping the Union whole.

I believe President George W. Bush is doing a very good job. He is helping the entire world and our country. I know we did not FIND any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, but I believe they were there. At least we got rid of sadam hussane, and have you heard from Osama bin laden, no. Don’t blame the president for the gas prices; our prices are still lower than the rest of the worlds were before president bush. Most of the stuff democrat’s use as evidence to discredit bush is made up or exaggerated. And yes he did have a C average, but it was at Yale. And yes he may have said this about the Constitution: 'It's just a goddamned piece of paper', but sometimes these things can get in the way of what’s right.

It's just as dangerous as smoking, If not worse. I am just as offended by their gluttony as they are of my cigarette smoke.

when I called police he left the scene and later he was arrested. My dad had to go to police station and an police officer interviewed him and the guy and told us that he has been charged with assault, because the guy admitted the assault on my dad.
From now on what is going to happen to my dad and the guy?
Do we have to go to court or what kind of charge(fine,prison,etc..) he gets?...l

Who else here wants to see all people to come together in a "peaceable assembly" and discuss the wrongs of our government? It is all so corrupt and one- sided. They haven't done anything to me personally, but they have been harassing my boyfriend endlessly. THEY SEARCHED US AND OUR VEHICLE BECAUSE ONE OF OUR TAILLIGHTS WAS OUT!!! PUT THE PIGS ON A LEASH.

What if we never armed Iraq to defeat Iran? What if we never armed Bin Laden to defeat the USSR? Don't we just bring a world of trouble on ourselves when we muck about in other people's affairs? Why do we keep doing it?
