"When it comes to raw IQ, Bush is in the mid-range of
American Presidents. In 1999, Charles Murray and I calculated, based on Bush's SAT score of 1206 (old-style scoring system), that his IQ was probably about 125 or a little higher..."

That would put him in the 97 percentile of the general population. It is higher than JFK's and about the same as Abraham Lincoln's. At the 97th percentile it gives him a very good chance of being much smarter than you. So even though your mama never taught you, show a little respect...he is the President of this country.
There was a urban myth going around from the "Lovenstein Institute that put Bill Clinton's IQ at 182 and George W Bush's at 91 (exactly half). It also went on to ascribe every Democratic President having a higher IQ than every Republican President. This is completely fabricated...including the Lovenstein Institute. See the link below for real estimated IQ's of current and historical figures.
By the way it is estimated that Bill Clinton has an IQ of 138, about the same as Arnold Schwartzenhegger and a few points lower than Richard Nixon and Hillary Clinton.

George Bush's SAT was 1206 (566 Verbal, 640 Math). This is sourced from his transcript.

This is a pre-1974 which translates to between 125 and 129 according to these sources.

Charles Murray, the author of the Bell Curve, converted it in 1999 and came up with 124. Al Gore had an IQ of 134 while John Kerry had an IQ of 122. IQ is not always correlated with success as a President. Richard Nixon had an IQ of 143 while John F. Kennedy had an IQ of 117. Other attributes are needed to be a successful President. Social IQ is as important if not more so as are other factors. Of course, no one with below average intelligence has ever been elected despite what many answers allege.

125, sounds impressive right? Nope, one of the lowest IQ scores of US presidents. Ulysses S. Grant had the lowest presidential IQ, at 120. Still 20 points above average.

High enough to do the job (whether you like the results or not) of the POTUS every day for almost 6 years now. What do YOU do every day when you roll off the Futon at noon?
(Other than posing uninspired questions in poor gammatical English on Yahoo message boards that is...)

Who would waste their time bashing Bush? You're not going to change anything that way.
It's like a Snickers bar. It makes you feel good, full of energy at first, but then you tank just as fast minutes later! Eat the apple dude!!

Just to let you know, Bush went to Yale"
Yes, bush did go to Yale (he was a cheerleader for the football team), he got in on Daddy's money NOT his grades & he graduated with a "C-" average. Not a genius.
