Who else here wants to see all people to come together in a "peaceable assembly" and discuss the wrongs of our government? It is all so corrupt and one- sided. They haven't done anything to me personally, but they have been harassing my boyfriend endlessly. THEY SEARCHED US AND OUR VEHICLE BECAUSE ONE OF OUR TAILLIGHTS WAS OUT!!! PUT THE PIGS ON A LEASH.

I live in Hawaii and ther must be 10 cops/person in Honolulu. But we still have rampant crime. I just return from Thailand and after 3 weeks there I saw very few cops,,, mostly directing traffic,,, but everyone was doing his own thing and seem to be living in Harmony. We are indeed a nation of laws,, about thirty three thousands pages of them to be exact. Remember cops are mostly to protect the wealthy not the average guy. Have you ever seen riot police beating the heads of men in three piece suites,,,no,,, just the heads of those wanting equal treatment and to be heard

Discuss the wrongs of our government? Why not discuss the rights of our government too? Why only focus on the negative? Is ur glass half full or half empty? So you got stopped for a busted tailight, big deal. Were you beaten, raped, tortured? No, and I bet you didnt even get a ticket. Stop your whining, liberal slime. You sound like a spoiled kid. Try moving to another country and see how they treat you there. Bet you come home fast with your tail tucked between your scabby legs.

Interesting question
First of all, sorry for your boyfriend's harrassment. You mentioned that they haven't done anything to you personally and maybe that's because you are a law abiding citizen .... can we say the same for your boyfriend? Does he have a history of criminal conduct -- if so, then it's been known that law-enforcement do focus more attention on troublemakers in order to DIS-ENCOURAGE further bad behavior.
Now you may hate them TODAY but likely if you are a victim TOMORROW, you will realize the value of the roles that they play in helping keep this world a safer place. Watch a few shows like CSI, Forensic Files, Cold Case Files, Law and Order etc and you'll realize that there truly are bad people out there. Who do we have to keep them from harming us.

We'll, it seems there's something missing here. Know your state's rights, and what's necessary for a legal search, probable cause. Was your boyfriend drunk or unruly? The officer most likely didn't search your car only because of a taillight out.

They did not search your car because of a tail light. You or your boy friend did some thing to make them want to. Come on why would they take the time to mess with you if they did not think some thing may have been up.
