In the Pacific Northwest, I hear it all the time where political citizens want part of their own state to break away and create their own.

Examples include the split between North and South California or the division between Western Washington and Eastern Washington.

Based on your knowledge, would you or would you not agree with this political idea? And if so why?

If so many of you out there insist we invaded Iraq for oil, why did Bush chose the 16th largest oil producer in the world? There are 14 better ones (excluding ourselves. yes, we produce more oil at home than Iraq ever did) out there that could have been overthrown far more easily.

Furthermore, what are you going to say when Bush retires and doesn't go home to Crawford to swim in an oil-filled pool?

Just once I'd like to see real evidence come with the claim,
"We did it for oil."

Is the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (AP Story: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060614/ap_on_re_as/asia_security emerging as the new Warsaw Pact? Facing off against US, Japan, Australia, etc, with Taiwan holding the position of Berlin, & military power focused on naval more so than land power?

NOTE: Japan is partnered with US on regional missle defense, has recently engaged & chased off a PRC sub in Japan waters, has opened an informal embasy in Taipei, and has an extensive exchange program of retired senior military officers. They are now in negotiations with Taipei toward a treaty as to what level of military involvement Japan would have in support of the US if China were to invade Taiwan, & what Japan military reaction would be if these extensive support & defensive forces were to be attacked.

People with disabilities span race, ethnicity, gender and geography and yet they are continually discriminated against.

In the United States, one in four people have a disability. Soon, with the baby boomer generation, that statistic will read one in three. One in three people in the U.S. alone who have a disability.

Yet they are not equal members of society?
