How about if I could keep just one U.S. law...

the one that gives the Federal Government

ONE JOB

AND

ONLY ONE JOB...

to protect us from foreign invasion.

Then they could leave us alone with the rest of their control tactics. Where's the freedom in this FREE COUNTRY?

I would change the Americans with disabilities act, in one way. People who are substance abusers would no longer be covered, and I'll tell you why I feel it needs to be done.

Under current law, it is supposed to be illegal to fire or withhold promotion from someone because they have a drug or alcohol problem. If you catch them comming to work impaired or doing it on the job you can fire them, otherwise, they have to get timely promotions into positions that are more and more important. In many cases, substance abuse leads to loss of cognitive function, memory lapses, etc. In some positions, these employees become a potential huge liability to the company. Large corporations are not going allow a few bad apples to spoil the company barrel, they will find ways around the law such that no proof exist that it was ever broken.

Prior to this, companies who saw an employee in this kind of trouble, would approach the employee and offer them counceling. Now, if a company does that, they are admitting they are aware of a problem and that any withholding of promotions can be seen as discrimination.

Instead, they use other means to make the employee unhappy in his/her job, and hope they leave on their own. The employee gets no heads up that he/she is in need of help, the company loses an employee that time and money has been invested in, and Society has the potential of having another body in the unemployment line.

So who is helped here?

I think our laws are Good but few are in forced. But any law to stop any freedom we have is Scary . Gods People will not have an Abortion. but after a abortion God will forgive them. The one law that concerns me is having all Gins Registered. The part that concerns me, is the Bad Guy's don't abide by the Law. so there are many guns out there that are not counted. I hope the day does not come when they take all the registered Guns away.

I would overhaul the entire government.

But if I had to pick one law, it would be abolishing the "War on Drugs"
