That's not just Conservatives, it's the US political machine in general. War makes money and money makes great pocket stuffers during campaign time from businesses who profit from the war. Just follow the money....

Hmmmmm.......Good question. So you think that by getting out of this war, we would be better off? Well, let me tell you, turning the other cheek was what Clinton did the whole time he was on office. I may be only 15, but I remember some of the attacks that kept happening because of Clinton's not doing anything. The U.S.S. Cole, the multiple attacks on U.S. foreign embassies, on our patrols. Since Bush put his foot down, no other terrorist attacks have happened have they? And you can't use terrorist attacks on our troops. Or the diversionary attacks on Israel, because those were tactics to draw our attention from what they were really doing. Setting Iran up to get a President that supports Hamas, and getting nuclear technology. Is it only a coincidence that such a threat showed up right outside our troop lines? I don't think so. You can use your policy of passivity, like we did before WWII. But, I seem to remember something about Pearl Harbor getting attacked. I wonder why that sticks to mind?

The Terror was already there. I will have to give the people of the Right credit for that observation. It spilled over into New York on September 11, 2001. The hate ... no ... Bush Co. Has done that.

"US 'biggest global peace threat' 14 Jun 2006 People in European and Muslim countries see US policy in Iraq as a bigger threat to world peace than Iran's nuclear program, a survey has shown. The survey by the Pew Research Group also found support for US Dictator George W Bush and his "war on [of] terror" had dropped dramatically worldwide."

We are not on the right side of History on this one. I would also refer you to Kevin Philips "American Theocracy" and to "Theocon Nation."

They can't wake up to the fact that you cannot win a war on something like terrorism by military means due to there own short sightedness.
The fact is the only defence against terrorism is sensible foreign policy.
Do people forget the Iran Iraq war when both the U.S. and the Russians were selling weapons to both sides just see how good their weapons would go against each others.
It's precisely this kind of crap that has caused the scourge of terrorism in our times.

I think other things create hate. Like avarice, arrogance, presumption, defiance and a whole lot of other things. I don't think that conservatives have the corner on those problems. I think that the cameras just turn on the conservatives who do that because the conservatives are mouthier at this point in time.

But, the worm turns.

Turning the other cheek? If a conservative were to do that, which one should he turn. He has two one on each side of his face and butt.

You don't honestly think a conservative would show his left one of either, now, do you?

Of course they know exactly what they're doing. For them, it's job security! How else would GW have been re-elected? On his "powerful" economic policy? Or the superlative and highly successful No Child Left Behind? Puh-leeze! Karl Rove created an overwhelming sense of fear, paranoia, and insecurity among voters to make them think that we'd be destroyed if we booted Shrub outta the White House. It's really quite sickening!

I get what you mean. I mean, being a bully and pushing everybody around only creates resentment. I mean, history repeats itself, and its not good to create resenment throughout the world, never turned out good in the past. And to the reply of not letting people walk all over you, COME ON! That Ole West attitude is out of date. America is a super power, countries are not gonna give the finger to the US if they become more peaceful. And the cut and run thing, never heard anything so dumb. I didnt know that the lives of hundereds of soldiers and civilians are riding on the US's ego. Do what needs to be done, and who gives a crap what people think. People respect ethical actions, not bullies.

do you know that Mandela was in jail for bombing a school bus full of white children. I am very conservative and they only hate I hear is from liberals like you. Stop listening to your teachers they are wrong thats why they oppose testing.

This is naive thinking, that conservatives are somehow missing the inherent simplicity of the "liberal" solution.

The situation is complicated, and it should be treated as such. That's like asking "Why do Liberals hate America?" or "Why are conservatives ruining America?"

Gandhi got a bullet in his gut for it. They hate us because we do not wish to pray to the god they do. They have been killing for over 1000 years.Do not give me that PC stuff that the white euros started it because you would be wrong.
