I want to find a pic of a baby black bear hamster, one time when i was at a pet store, i saw baby black bear hamsters, whose fur was just starting to grow. It was the cutest thing ive ever seen in my life, the baby hamster had a cute little pink nose, and a "mommy, wats up?" expression on her dainty little face as she woke up.

my mouse has a tiny sore on the back of his ear. I have been putting a very small amount of sudocrem on it, applying very gently with a cotton bud. The skin is healing and looking much better but I'm just wondering if this could do him any harm? I always just put a real small bit on so don't think there's any danger of him getting some on his paws then eating it...... I am taking him to the vets tomorrow anyway for a general check up, bless him, he's getting a bit old now, so I will ask them anyway but wondering if you can offer any advice???

I bought three white mice that look exactly alike. Is there any way I can mark them to tell apart by using a marker or something? Or will that screw up their skin?

okay, so i've had my newest rat for about 2 weeks and he is still a baby. i was told that they NEED another rat to live with, so i decided to get him a friend. i fell in love with a baby boy and let them meet at the store, they seemed to get along..when i brought them home i let them play in the tub...the older one (rocky)attacked the new baby at least 3 times.. i put them in the cage and he attacked him again. i now have them separated in their cage and i don't know what to do? i don't want to take the newest one back but i don't want to separate them forever..that would start my whole problem again :( please help me?
and also if you have any name suggestions? he's a boy..

Hello there.

I just brought home two young baby male rats about 3 days ago. I've noticed they've been sneezing and I'm not sure if it's okay or not. They don't have any discharge comming out of their eyes, ears, or nose...whatsoever. They're perky and from what I can tell, very happy with their new home. I'm currently using the bedding carefresh...(It was reccommended by a rat breeder). They're not sneezing constantly...but just enough for me to be able to notice. The first night I had them, I used a different bedding. I'm not sure if maybe they got allergies from that particular brand (it looked kinda like hay)...so obviously that's when I changed the bedding and bought the carefresh. Should I be worried?

I got a Russian dwarf hamster on sunday (july 15th). whenever i take it out it constantly poops, and it poops ALOT. this is a serious question because when i take her out she constantly poops. the first time i took her out, she had abnout 7 or 8 little pieces of poop, and she did each of them in two settings. i dont know what to do, and it seems like she saves her poop for when i take her out and she has peed on my couch as well.

I don't know if this is normal but, my guinea pig likes to take a piece of bedding (usually a larger piece) and smacks it against the bars. Is this just his way of curing boredom or searching for attention? He's making a larger mess than usual. I don't mind but he gets pieces stuck in the cage bars and makes a huge mess.

I know I asked this before, but, the answers I got were.. you know..
not very informative.

My hamster is 1yrs old [just had his bday!]
He's balding on his upper back..
He acts like he's still a baby.
[energetic]

I give him veggies, fruit, and some seeds during the day.

I spoil him and love him all the time.

but..

This is about the balding though..
Is it because I changed his bedding to something else
[its the same brand but diff color]?
or Old age?

Its not mites, I checked him out real good for that.
=[

I'd just hate to see him go.

Well, I heard that you tear pieces of aper and put it into the cage and the hamsters will put it in there mouth and bring it to its nesting area. Will it choke my hamster when she puts small pieces of paper towels in her mouth?
