I got a Russian dwarf hamster on sunday (july 15th). whenever i take it out it constantly poops, and it poops ALOT. this is a serious question because when i take her out she constantly poops. the first time i took her out, she had abnout 7 or 8 little pieces of poop, and she did each of them in two settings. i dont know what to do, and it seems like she saves her poop for when i take her out and she has peed on my couch as well.

That's what my Hamster did at first. Whem you first get a Hamster they feel uncomfortable at first. They get scared and poop and pee when you have them out. Take some time to get to know your Hamster it will get better. good luck!
ps. You can get a hamster potty at petco or petsmart, that way you can teach your Hamster to use it's own little potty. Yoi can also get a small litter box made for hamsters and gerbils. But I reccomend the Hamster Potty. Lokk online- www.petsmart.com or www.petco.com.

my friend has a russian hamster and hers does exactaly the same but she has sloppy poop. she might be nervous or she could have something wrong with her insides to cause it. try getting her out in a old towel so if she poops or pees it wont matter. hope this helps. best answer please ;)

hi your hamster is nervous she will stop when she gets used to you,
she is still a baby,
hamsters are very clean and will poop only in one place of the cage
you can even potty train them !!!!

She is nervous. Try letting her smell your hand before you take her out or petting her in the cage for a few days. Also, never take them out or wake them if they are sleeping.

She's still getting used to you & feels scared. Be gentle & patient & handle her regularly to build her trust.
Our mice did the same thing @ first.
