My guinea pig has bitten me several times on several different occassions! It just recently bit me and it drew blood, and this wasnt the first time!! I really need to know if maybe my guinea pig needs even more care than I give to it or if it has just gone Completely insane!

i want to start raising mice, and i heard from a bunch of rat and mouse clubs that male mice can live together, but i've also heard that they'll fight eventually and it gets really bad... so should i keep one male mouse alone, or should i keep two and in how large of a tank? (don't worry about me breeding because its not like they don't have a purpose)

I have 2 female siamese rats. The smallest one appears to be the alpha rat which is fine because her sister dosen't seem to mind too much. However last night while out for play time my little alpha rat for no apparent reason nipped my finger and then when I tried to move my hand away she locked onto my finger inflicting a very painful and nasty puncture wound and a bruise from the force of hanging on. She then ran up my chest to my face and bit me hard on the lip. My husband waited a few minutes while i was bleeding profusely from my lip then picked her up to return her to her cage. She then bit him hard on the thumb. This is the first time this has happened she is usually a sweet, affectionate and spunky little thing but never has she even attempted to hurt either one of us. I'm really upset and concerned and would really love to hear from someone who knows about rats. How do we handle her and this behavior and what can we do that this dosen't happen again.

My friend asked me to take care of her guinea pig and my lab/german sheperd tried to attack it. It ran under the bed and when i found him he was limp and squealing. He still has a pulse. What should I do????

at the moment it looks kinda boring

it has:

a wheel
a cardboard tube
pottery houses x3
a small chew
a very small jam jar

oh and the 2 mice xD


it seems boring for them

the come out now and again

any ideas how i can improve the cage?

the tubes on the outside broke and had to be removed

Well, this what happened. My dad went down to canada to watch the NASCAR race with his broter Jimmy, his friend Josh, his brother Todd and my Aunt Emma his sister in law. Uncle jimmy's wife. well, my aunt emma is a slut and a whore. she is always flirting with my dad. i see her do it and hes always looking uncomfortable or oblivious to it. my mom notices too. well i heard that my aunt emma was majorly flirting with my dad in canada. Like asking him to light her cigarette when he just quit smoking. Tonight they are going out and she always does something whoreish. help me?

OK my mom and i were wondering about baby squirrels becuse we are rehibilitating it ,it is about 5-6 weeks old and we are wondering ......what age do hey start drinking water so far we are feeding it goats milk and water ...... with a serange it can already curl its tail and its very adorable we keep it in a bird cage we are getting ready to move it out side to get it used to its surrounding and we need your help what do we do when we move it outside ?????? and at what age does it start drinking water?? any advice thanks bye

One gerbil of my gerbils has a tumor, and is losing his fur. He sleeps like all day, he is still eating and drinks a lot. I feel bad for him, and can't even look at him. He has a large blad spot on his neck, and is almost 2 1/2 years old. I wanted to get his tumor removed, but I'm only 14, and don't have money to pay for it. He also has a good risk of not making it through. Will they charge me to put him out of his pain? How much? Please, no rude comments. I'm already upset about this as it is.=(

Would I be able to house any other species(besides chinchilla) with my female chinchilla? She's around 4 years. What I'm most interested in getting is a degu, do those house well(in the same cage) with a chinchilla? Or any other species of small pet? Or is it just impossible/unwise to put them with another species critter?

Hi, I own a 6 year old guinea pig who had an abcess five months ago. We opted out of surgery and the abcess seems to have returned. However, we don't have the money for a surgery and we are treating it ourselves by squeezing the pus out, as a wound has opened itself up, allowing us to squeeze out the pus. My father is the one brave enough to do this and he asks what sort of ointment he can apply onto the open wound. This is making our family really sad and we'd really like some help with this. We've called the vet and we're waiting for the veterinarian to call back and answer. Thanks so much for your time. -Kyani

By something to chew on I mean something that wont harm her, I love my rat!!! I've been noticing that she grinds or jitters her teeth together so I figured it was because her teeth were getting to long. I bought her the chew sticks and she wont use them at all...what else can I get her that she might like more and that will help her teeth???

I put them in diffrent changes because i thought they where fighting and now they don't liked being picked up, or petted, and they just hide in their igloos all day! And there is hair ALL over the cage, and they are loosing alot of hair! HELP!

I have 2 adult male guinea pigs and 1 baby male guinea pig. Ever since I got a new one, the 2 adult guinea pigs have been fighting and haven't been getting along. So now, I have 1 adult guinea pig sitting alone in one cage while the other 2 are together.
