juust let them get to know you and used toyou. try going into a dry bathtub and go with one of them at a time, so they get used to you and your scent.

I had a rat that was abused, and she was very scared of people, but she didn't really bite (I mean no blood.) I just handled her a lot and gave her a lot of affection. She gradually relaxed, and finally became the most affectionate rat I had.
Some rats, if they have not been handled, will bite when you put your hand in the cage because they think it is food; all they knew about hands is that they bring food. In that case, they quickly stop biting after being handled and finding out that the hand isn't food, it only brings food.
Some rats are born with a bad temperament, and there is a limit to what you can do for them besides being gentle and careful, to keep biting to a minimum.

One of our boys was unsociable when we first got him, but i found that that lots of soft talking at cage door along with treats encouraged him to come to me, when he freely walked up to my hand i would slowly give him a treat and a pat. It was just a matter of gaining confidence and trust. Each time i would pat him a little longer and pick him up for a short time. Now he constantly is comming for pats and cuddles. He is our number one rat.
