since this is the rodent section i assume that's what you want to know about. well, it can be hard to tell, but if they aren't aggressive, if they are lively and don't exhibit any repetative behaviours, such as chewing the bars for prolonged periods or moving from side to side then they probably feel okay.

Well each pet is different. They show happiness in different ways. Sometimes you can't tell if they're happy, but you can tell if they are sad or scared. For example when my dog is scared he growls, when he is sad his eyes look sad. and when he is happy he wants to be petted and he jumps on all the furniture rubbing at anything in sight. But, it is different for every pet. You get to know your pet and when they show different emotions

If it wants to play. Therefore give it lots of toys that it will enjoy. If when you play with it and it wants more playing then it is a happy pet.

It depends on you kind of pet. If its a dog, then he or she will be hyper & wag his or her tail alot. If its a cat then, it will purr near you alot. If your pet isn't a dog or a cat then I don't know how to know if they are happy.

my pets try to make a mad dash for freedom every single chance they get. if yours aren't doing that, then you're probably good.

i think your pets demonstrate when they are happy, by eating, because i've observed that my dog doesn't eat when he is unhappy or sick.
