Wa the pig bitten or shaken by the dog, or did it just hide under the bed ? If it has no bites and isnt bleeding anywhere it may just be badly frightened. I would pick it up carefully with an old towel , check it over being careful it doesnt bite , and put it in its cage. Give it a few treats and leave it alone to recover. Dont let the dog near its cage, it wont understand that its safe .

If its bleeding a lot then it may need a vet.

Oh gosh, such morons have answered your questions. If he's limping, he may have a broken bone. HE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE PUT TO SLEEP, if that is the case. There are treatments that a vet can do for guinea pigs. They don't automatically put them down.

It is your responsibility to get ehe porr piggie to a vet NOW, no matter the cost. You were neglectful in letting your dog near the pig, so it is your job to get the pig treated.

i take advantage of canine shampoo on all my guinea pigs and not in any respect had a situation. basically ascertain it somewhat is usual canine shampoo & does not have any drugs in it. additionally, once you bathe him/her in basic terms use a sprint tiny tiny little bit of shampoo (that way in the adventure that your guinea pig does have an allergic reaction that's truthfully no longer as undesirable). I bathe my guinea pigs interior the sink a pair of million time each 3 months.

First take it to the vet ans ask them if they should put it down or not. If they say that he/she is ok then when u bring the guinea pig home put him in his cage on tog of a desk or table to get it away from the dog.

There's probably little that a vet can do for the poor thing except euthanasia. Put it back in its cage in a quiet room, cover it with a towel and hope that it doesn't have internal injuries. Tell your friend as soon as possible about the incident and beg forgiveness. If the animal does die, offer to replace it.
