They won't come when you call anyway, so you're free to have some fun. I like the irony of giving something small and cute names like: Locutus (of Borg), Lord Balthazar The Despiser, Atch-Latch-Natcha The Lurker In The Darkness, etc.

we call ours "thing" because we just got it a couple days ago, and we realized we HAVE to name it, so while we think of a name, we are calling her "thing". "hey look that the thing, don't touch the thing" that's how we talk about her.
But we are NOT keeping that name.
Other than that, have you thought of naming yours. . .
"MC-Hamster?"
