My dwarf hamster had 5 babies (2 are boys, so I'm keeping them seperate) Can I keep the three girls with the mom, or do I have to keep them seperate?

Yes you can keep the daughters with the mother. The males you need to put in a seperate cage then the girls or else there will be lots of more little babies.

Hamsters prefer to live alone, you're better off getting a seperate cage for each of the babies, or selling them.

Yes you can keep the girls with the mom but make sure you seperate the boys from girls or else they might have more babies. You can keep the father with the boys as well.

Good luck and how exciting!

Hampsters are den animals. They live happier lives if they can live in a colony situation. You are wise to keep the females separate from the males because they are also like rabbits and can have one liter after another which is not healthy for your hampster. If you plan on breeding the female with your male I suggest you do not breed her more than 4 times a year. For one reason, any more than that can cause health problems in your female because she is doing nothing but caring and nursing babies. She needs adequate time to regain her strength after a liter. Another reason for controling liters is that it is against the law in a lot of states to have 'mass' breeding of any animal. Also, if you do breed your female a second time and continue to keep the females with her, you need to keep in mind the size of the cage. When a hampster or any rodent feels over populated in the wild, they will just break up the family and go their separate ways in order to maintain adequate living space as well as making sure there is ample food for all concerned. In a caged home, they cannot decide to split their family so if they feel their isn't adequate food or their living quarters are to cramped to house all their family, they will kill the babies or the weaker ones. That is called survival of the fitest. The strongest ones will be the ones to remain. Rule of thumb is no more than 4 hampsters to a 10 gal. tank. If you have a habitrail, you can usually figure it out by having one sleeping quarters section for every 2 adult hampsters. If you get too many hampsters, you can usually give them to pet stores to sell. Some of them will even buy them from you and of course sell them at a more expensive price but at least you can keep your numbers down. I do not recomment breeding hampsters back to their babies or breeding brother and sister together. It does cause problems and can produce misfit offspring. I hope that helps.

It's usually a good idea to seperate them. With my experience, hamsters of the same sex seem to attack eachother regardless of relationship.
