I am getting a hamster at the end of the month. I was wondering since my favorite actor and actresses are Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Tisdale. What should I name it? Also give me some info on hamsters. Full ANSWERS.

I had a hamster named Gus. (I later found out it was a girl.) I don't know if this is true about all hamsters, but mine was nocturnal. It ran around it's cage and squeaked all night making it hard to sleep. I also had to clean its cage almost daily because it stunk so bad. I finally gave it away to someone who could take better care of it.

omg, Zac Efron is soooo hot!... lol, jkjkjkjk no homo.... Ashley Tisdale is H-O-T!!!... anyway, name it anything you want. If you really want to... then fine! name them that, just make sure you don't get males and females...... cause that happened to me... and something bad happened... yeah. You can tell male from female apart, just go to google. Or you can even use Yahoo Answers... hehe. Mine were very simple. I just got a glass aquarium thing (I didn't get one of those common cages because the bedding went everywhere when I did have one, but you can if can deal with it), bedding, hamster food, a little house or two, a water bottle, and a few toys. They say to take them out for a little while each days, but I never did (I know, its bad) and they were fine. You also have to clean the cage about every month, or until the poop inside makes you clean it. XD. But just get those things and have fun with your new friends. Enjoy!

Name your hamster Za-van-ash (lol!) I find you should wait at least 24 hours after getting a pet before you name it. You'll find the best name within that time!
Hamsters are one of the easiest animals to care for. Like fish, all you have to do is feed them and keep their habitat clean.
Some hamsters don't like to be handled if their older, but if your getting a real young one, you can raise it to enjoy your company! Don't smother the poor thing, though. Doing that can kill it.
Make sure your hamster has plenty to chew on. Hamsters teeth will continue to grow and the only way to keep their teeth short is to give them something to chew on such as a mineral rock (which you can buy at ANY pet shop).
Also make sure the little guy (or gal) has a den. Something for him/her to sleep in or just get have some alone time.
Last, but not least, if you give it a wheel, they'll not only get all the exercise they need, but the wheel is a hamster's main form of entertainment (hamsters are a simple creature :)
One last note: hamsters LOVE sunflower seeds. BUT they are fatty, so don't just feed your hamster a diet of sunflower seeds. Make sure you buy a mix of seeds.

As for a name ur on ur own.But to feed it,you must use only food that is hamster food.They are able to have carrots, but no lettuce,Cleaning at least 3 times a week,at least 2 times wash cage bottle, toys.Do not forget most of all make sure they have sticks in hamster department,this is for their teeth.

No matter how nice your cages are, you hamsters will try to find a way out. They are escape artists. When they get out, that evening get a tall bowl (big enough they cant get climb back out of), and place food in the bottom (to lure them in) and stack books on the side like stairs for them to use to climb into.
P.S. they are nocturnal and very noisy at night.

My son had a hamster named Cheetah. We had him for a couple of years and he was awful. I will never have another one. If you tried to pet him he would bite you. Especially if you had the smell of food on your hands. He would escape out of his cage and everything. My cat (fortunately) new he was one of our pets so she would let me know where he was instead of eating him. He was very cute though, but on the same note he was very mean.
You have to clean their cage often (it stinks something awful).
Also they drink a lot of water. They like to eat nuts, dried fruits, some seeds. They also need small salt wheels. My sons hamster loved those. They were like a special treat to him. Good Luck

Hamsters are sweet hearts.
I would not get a dawrf hamster they seem to be meaner
Also when getting your hamster you need to be very gentle, she or he might bite you at first but once they get to know you they will stop. Get lots of chew toys. for if you get a wire cage and have no chew toys they might chew on the wires!

if its a boy name it zac if its a girl name it vanessa. hampsters make a lot of noise at night, they have to b held every day until they learn not to bite, get a cage with a wheel in it, feed them a mix of seeds, never touch their babies(they'll eat them if u do), clean their cage every other day or every three days, always check if they have water, never let them roam free around ur room(they'll get into the walls), and spend time with them every day or else they'll b lonely.

you need to feed it hamster food that is good for their diet
get a metal cage plastic could kill ur hamster fish tank work too
get beding should as aspan or toliet paper
get a wheel for exsersize
bottle or bowl for water
and name somthing that he do a lot
