yes it is, the wire space between them is notbig enough for dwarf hamsters to get out of, critter trail3 is pretty big, and all ur expansions is pretty big too, more room is pretty good for anybody, so u dont have to worry about that. hamsters are escape artists so make sure you have everything closed tight, sometimes the dwarf hamsters cant get up the tiny ladders, so if they cant, get ramps, called magic carpets at petsmart adn they help with the space between wire cage floor, i think its a good idea. make sure you have two hamsters from the same litter, so they have a less chance of fighting. or get two females.

yes they can get up the vertical tubes really good, and its really not so great to get more than one, we have hamsters that fight each other to the death, its really just luck if you find one thats not mean to another one.

My dwarf loved her Crittertrail, the tubes are a lot of fun for them, and generally the bars are spaced well so that they won't escape. It should also have enough space for two dwarfs. If you are getting them from a pet store though, I would beware! We got what we thought were two females, but it turns out they were sexed wrong by the pet store employee. After a couple of weeks, we had two litters of baby hamsters on our hands (they mate right after giving birth, and since we had no idea she was pregnant the first time, she was pregnant again before we could separate them). THIS IS NOT UNCOMMON.

Good luck!

Crittertrail 3 should be a fun home for a dwarf hamster. We have 2 mice in ours, they're lived in it for over a year & seem really happy there.
You might want to consider getting just 1 dwarf hamster, as they very often fight.
