OK.. I have a 2 hour old crested gecko hatchling.. and we know what to do for him.. the only thing I forgot to research.. and am having problems finding, is how soon after it hatches can it be moved? Its still in the incubator, but we have 11 other eggs.... 3 of which are going to hatch soon... but when can I remove the hatchling into his own home???

I was wondering if my leopard geckos could eat organic peach baby food....and if not what other fruits can they eat??

btw- Leopard Geckos can and DO eat fruit & vegetables...thats one of the reason you feed crickets fruit and vegetables. SO PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER IF YOU ARE GOING TO SAY THEY DON"T EAT FRUIT!! (I really just don't want to hear it.)

Today I bought an additional thermometer and a humidity gauge so there is a therm. on each end of my 20 gallon tank. Is it ok to have a heat pad with a hide box above it and then a clamp lamp in the same end of the tank but opposite side? I want to create more of a warm/cool temp gradient. On the opp. end I now have her water/soaking dish + various shrubbery. She got rid of all her shed except the eye caps. She ate a mouse today but I know the eye caps need off. I sprayed a special shed spray on her from my store that is for the eye caps to loosen them. I'm going to see if they come off by themself but if not tomorrow I am planning on manually removing them. I have heard numerous ways of achieving this. Tape? by hand? What's the best technique? I've never done it before and my reptile specialist @ work isnt in till thursday so I was hoping I could do it myself before then. Any help would be much appreciated!

While babysitting, I found a bearded dragon basking in the sun on their concrete sidewalk, (eventually) caught it, and brought it home. I've researched (via internet) what they're supposed to eat and everything.. But I was wondering:

1. Could you identify what type of beardie it is?:

2. Is it too thin?

3. (If it's possible to tell...) does it look healthy?

4. What should I watch out for, and

5. Has this happened to anyone else? lol

So I was just recently at a reptile show and I picked up some tomatoe hornworms for my adult bearded dragon. She absolutely loved them. Anyone know where I can get them again? or a good website that has them to be shipped?

I'm taking a box turtle off of the hands of a friend that keeps it in a 5 gal tank full of water.
What do I need to know to take care of him?
What is the ideal type of indoor housing?
Does he need a heat rock or lamp?
What should I use to cover the floor in his cage?
Any information will help since I have never owned any type of reptile. Thank you!

He seems to be 'scratching' his eyes alot and his face looks yellowish. I am not sure if this is typical for his species or if I should be treating a health problem...

Here is some details about thier environment..

I have a 55 gallon that also houses a red ear slider. The water is kept clean with 3 filters and is completely changed monthly. I feed them a variety of foods including fruits and vegetables, pellets, shrimp, worms, crickets and rosy red minnows. I treat their water with water conditioner for turtles. The each have a basking dock, one has a heat lamp (for the red ear)and ones does not (for the musk). The tank is also covered by a full length UV light.

see she has swollen eyes and this is caused by vitamin a difficiency. I hadn't noticed but i believe i bought him at the pet store like that. I don't wanna take her back because I don't know what they might do to it. I don't want them to like kill it so I want to cure it myself.
-thanks
