My Huskie loves it. The weather is dry, and she just loves it when I rub her back and sides. I can feel and hear the static.
When it's totaly dark I can see it. It also makes her sleep soundly. But when I touch the tip of her ear or her nose, she goes bannas. Cannot help myself. It's funny.Try rubbing your pets hair BACK AND FORTH. They will love it. DO NOT DO THIS NEXT TO ANY THING EXPLOSIVE!!! Leel

i feel sick!! OMG!! It all started when I was doing research on PETA....and EEWWW!! I went to their website and saw a couple of videos.... dude...i feel sick.
Well, one of them were these clothing industries in China and they were skinning animals alive....
omg
i, myself, love animals a lot and hope that one day every single animal in the world will come to live in peace starting at least now
I can't bear to see all of them suffering
those people!!! do they not have feelings at all? i understand it may be their job and all, but can't they at least imagine how it would feel to suffer tragically like that?
I'm upset that there's nothing for me to do because no one will listen to a mere "child".
does anyone know what to do??
i want to stop this.

If so, how did it get that nickname?
I call my dog Barbossa because he has a grey, scraggly beard and likes apples! :)

This REALLY bothers me and I want to know if it bothers the other vet techs out there: when you are assisting the Vet with an exam, trying to hold/restrain the pet, and the owner is hovering over their pet, and won't let you hold them at all? It's like they think they can do a better job? Don't they know it's our JOB to help the vet during an exam, I mean why else would we be right there in the exam room, DUH?! Let me know your opinion on this! Please!

The trend seems to be that more and more pets are give "people" names, rather than traditonal "pet" names (like Pookie, Browie, Fluffie, Spot, etc.....). I went with the human name trend myself, and named my cats Mickey and Cindy Lou.
My father (among other people) feel strongly that pets are not humans and should be given less formal names, like in past generations. What do you think about this and what are your pet's named, if you have any?

It's burrowing near my laundry room, in like a ditch ... I threw a rock, and it stayed there. Then I went in the house, opened the window, and I can see right over him ... I threw a can near his tail, and it growled, but didn't run away !!

I'm planning on getting 6 to 8 guinea pigs when I move out of my parents' apartment and when I went to Petco a few days ago I realized that they had care sheets for every animal that they have there. I was just wondering. Are Petco's guinea pig care sheets about the things that guinea pigs need or are they all a bunch of quacks? I also have some questions about guinea pigs and one of my questions is: Can guinea pigs go for walks with their owners? My second question is: Can guinea pigs live without a cage? My third question is: Can guinea pigs learn their name when they're being told something to do? And my final question is: How can guinea pigs tell us what they want at the right moments?

I was thinking about a new portable garden with grass, dirt & flowers. It hints at wanting a female pet rock that's a hooker. I don't know about that, they might wind up with little pebbles in 9 months (or is it longer or shorter time for birth?) Any ideas?

why do so many people think that if you dont work, or are on limited income, you dont deserve a pet? what of the countless strays that are taken as companions by homeless people, these same people who would share every morsel of food they received with the animal to make sure it ate, who would give their life for them even. no, they cant afford vet care, we both know there are organizations who sometimes help with that. but on the flip side of the coin...i know of show dogs that receive the best vet care there is...yet hardly get spoken to unless it is a command, never touched unless it is to groom them. so...why do you people go shooting off your mouths, cutting someone down because, in your eyes they are not fit to be a dog or cat owner...if they didnt care, do you think they would be on here asking for help? thank god i have a vet who understands low income and living miles away. he does all he can to help me care for my pets at home. he at least doesnt care more about money.

Sometimes i see more empathy for animals than i do for our fellow human beings. I care about animals and believe they should not be mistreated but sometimes detect more compassion for a racoon than I do for the welfare of people in our society who need special help. Please explain.

She constantly eats and won't let me out of the house! She screams and tries to bite if I take her food away. Her poop is the size of a and smells like a dead body. If you walk by her cage too slow, she'll try to grab you and pull you in!

Hello, I'm in a slight dilema early this year I brought two rabbits, the seller calimed they were both female's however one is obviously a boy as one has given birth however I don't know which one gave birth as all the kits were discovered dead, I have no idea how to determine the sex of a rabbit is their anyways by reffering to their chararistics, My Lionhead is more relaxed and loves being held, whereas the Netherland dwarf is more insecure and is never held.

Too much grain maybe? Not enough pasture? The next stable he went to was just great for him and he's never been sick again. It seems so strange to me because the first stable was the more expensive and it was beautiful and the owner was snotty lol. The next one was your typical down home old rickety barn and he was super happy there. Any ideas?
