One of my friends mentioned at the weekend that she never talks to her dog,......!! I thought how sad.

I always talk to my cat, and I think in his own way (!!??) he appreciates it.

What do you think?

At the moment, my block has a problem with field mice and bugs - so just a couple of days ago, I saw a small mouse in my basement, and it totally freaked me out! Like my house is spotless, and I see this small gray mouse - and it's a problem with the whole street right now .....

Where my dad works they have a cat - well, the cat is pregnant - so my dad thought that maybe when the cat gives birth he will take a kitten for the house - i'm just wondering if kittens chase mice and bugs?? Also, at what age should the kitten be for us to adopt one? And how should we prepare for its arrival?

There is something I'm confused about. There are so many people out there that are absolutely AVID about having pets fixed. God says it is a sin to alter the body in any way. We are supposed to be burried whole. We aren't even supposed to donate our organs. So, what makes you think it's okay to alter your pets? Don't they deserve to be burried whole as well?

Would they be addressed as Doctor (Dr.)? I would like to apply to some animal clinics before I start vet tech school next summer, and I want to be sure I get it right before I mail or hand them something with the wrong title.

A friend at work had a dog on at her door two nights ago, and the dog was well cared for, even waiting at the door with his paws up so she could wipe them off before he went into her house. Someone obviously didn't drop him off, because of how young and wonderfully house-broken he is. She put an ad up yesterday, and someone called and said if you don't find the owner, will you give him to me? and she told me today she's probably going to give the dog to this stranger.

Now it's only been a day and a half, so when does she have the right to give this dog a home? And if the original owner calls later in the week, what rights does he have?

Being a pet owner, I couldn't handle the thought of someone finding my pet and immediately giving it a home and not giving me enough time to find him.

I live in PA and she said that legally she can do whatever she wants with the dog after 24 hours.

My pet lop bunny is 8 months old now and won't use his salt or mineral lick but sometimes randomly decides to chew on paper or paper towel that has dropped on the floor, he doesn't chew anything else though. What is the problem?

I live in a second story apt. overlooking a big foresty area, it's right at the back of the complex and there are lots of trees and woods, today a baby raccoon(i think he's a baby, about the size of a small cat) came onto my balcony, i gave it some food but kept my screen door shut, and he kept coming up to the screen trying to get in, he's so cute and seems so friendly, i would put my hand on the glass and he kept chasing it everywhere i moved it, just like a kitten would, he's still out there now, i put some water out and he is bathing in it, i really wanna let him inside but i'm scared, does anyone know if they are harmful? i heard they have rabies too, any advice would help thanks!

He is about 4 and is fully blind and he rely's on our other rabbit for guidance. He's never been a particulally friendly bunny but is lovely when he feels like it and still has real character, but i'm confused as to what quality of life he has.

I gave her timothy hay, carrots, and a wedge of apple but she still chose to eat the straw that was keeping her babies warm. She didn't finish the hay, but still chose the straw. I had a baby burp cloth under the straw and she pulled that out first thing, and the babies were nestled in a nice little nest in the straw. They had big bellies, so she was feeding them and taking care of them for those 3 days. I raised rabbits when I was younger and never had this problem. What should my approach be next time?

My bunny had pretty blue eyes...then as of a month or so ago his eyes changed colour... the top half of his eyes are dark blue/green and then the bottom are crystle blue like they used to be.

My boyfriend said it wasn't anything serious but I don't know about that...what's wrong with my bunny?

Well 2 days ago i bought 2 little dwarf hamsters. They were doing great together. Running around, playing, and everything was going great. But then today i look down in their cage and the female is eating the male. His head is off already, but she's still eating chunks of him and theres blood everywhere. How do i get rid of the cage? And should i still keep the other hamster who is eating the dead one? I dont know why she ate him or killed him or whatever, but it's just gross. Idk wat to do and it wud be great to get some help. Thank you! =)

My daughter WON a bunny 3 years ago at a local festival and the poor thing just lives in her room in her cage day after day (even if my daughter forgets to feed her for a couple days)...I feel bad and want to find a home for her (the rabbit not my daughter...lol). Does anyone know what kind of organization might take a rabbit? She really doesn't fit in with a house full of retrievers (we breed Goldens). thanks
