The thing about cats and being pregnant is the bacteria in their poo. Don't touch it (wear gloves) and don't breathe the dust from litter (no one really should, but you can wear a paper mask to screen it out).
They say that nothing you do in the first trimester can hurt a healthy fetus.
Tell your boss, don't breathe any strong chemicals, but stay active and eat right. Keep your stress levels down, see a OB Dr as soon as you can!
Congrats and enjoy your baby!!

You work at a vet clinic and are not aware of the dangers to pregnant women? Don't be scared, be smart.
What you should do is talk to your boss. Ask about toxoplasmosis in particular.

I've seen pregnant vet techs before. I worked at PetSmart while I was pregnant. I worked with the fish and small animals. I took precautions and wore gloves while cleaning cages and washed my hands, and he was just fine. I did switch to a cashier position after a while, but just becuase it was getting harder to reach some things :) Just make sure you talk to your doc. You should be just fine.

I've worked with pregnant techs. First, tell your boss as your duties may change. Do not clean cat litter boxes, but handling cats is fine. Make sure if you are around anesthetic machines, there are no leaks and scavengers are working well. Do not take x-rays. Discuss other concerns with your OB-GYN asap.

Tell your boss immediatetly - in addition to the toxoplasmosis in cat feces concern, waste anestesia gases in the surgery room and radiation from the x-ray machine can affect a developing fetus. If you work in either of those areas they will need to change your duties while you are pregnant.

at times have faith it or not, animals can pass by a "fake being pregnant" and the only actual thank you to determine in the experience that your toddler is pregnant is to pass on your veterinarian. The SPCA is fairly inexpensive, I at present artwork for one. attempt calling around and see who's the main inexpensive. i'm hoping this facilitates and robust success! additionally, i extremely recomend getting your toddler spayed (VERY inexpensive in the process the SPCA) because of the fact I see such fairly some animals (espeically cats) being positioned down because of the fact of over inhabitants. additionally, in the experience that your toddler is pregnant, tutor your self as much as you could in case you do finally end up wanting to maintain them. solid success lower back!!! :)

Other than cleaning kitty litter boxes, I would avoid heavy lifting and you should be fine. Wear your gloves and your mask and not a worry.

Don't clean cages or litter boxes as the strong ammonia is bad for the baby. Other than that, you can do anything else as long as you make sure not to get kicked in the stomach. Congrats on the baby, though!!!

find someone you can trust (your boss or human resources, if possible) and ask them to look into what safety precautions you should be taking, and (whether you believe it or not) say that you will continue working as long as is possible for you.
