I have 2 turtles. Their names are Toby and Johnny (my sister named him Johnny, I told her we should have named it Dexter, but she did'nt listen!) and there's only one thing that bothers me....
I'm not totally sure if it's a boy or girl or not....
So, when they are adults, I don't want to be freaked out if I find out that they are females....so yeah. I'm changing their names. I was trying to find a name that fits both boy and girl, so I was thinking about Alex and Daryn.

But Daryn reminds me of my cousin....who passed away. :(
and Alex is this really cute guy in my class, but I don't care about him, so I'm using the name anyway. It's not like I'm naming it after him. I just like the name. So I'm definetly using Alex. I'm not sure if I'm using Daryn. But I really really like that name. Here are other names I can't use cuz of personal reasons:

Sam/Sammi
Daniel/Danielle
Or any other weird food name like, "cupcake"
I also don't want a dumb name like "speedy"
I want a real one!

What would you have don if your sons and a neighbor wittnessed a dog being abandoned? This just happened to us yesterday My neighbors dog was barking at a younger woman walking a Pomeranian mix up our road, she got to the house across the road from us and a truck pulled beside her, the driver was heard saying to leave the dog. She took it off the leash, got in and thet drove off. My 19 yr old ran in and quickly said what happened. I said go get it (it was in the 20's out). We took it in and since I can't keep it I'm trying to find a responsible new owner for him. I have many other animals including a large and a mediun dog. They all are getting along, but I can't handle a third dog. I did call Animal Control and reported it, but since no one thought to get the tag, nothing can be done. However my oldest son has an excellent memory for vehicles, he thought he reconized it. We live in a smaller toen and sooner or later he'll see the truck again.

Tennessee Walking horse or the Tennessee Walker? Walking...Walker? I've heard people say it both ways. I say walker. I'm just curious to see how many other people call it a Tennessee walker or Tennessee walking horse.

Who knows what a Chick-O-Stick is? http://hometown.aol.com/candycreations23/images/chic-o-sticks_small.jpg
My mare suddenly decided that these are her favorite treats, because I was eating one when I went into the pasture to spend time with her and she wanted a bite so I gave her a piece to see if she liked it and she ended up eating the whole thing. It has peanut butter, coconut, and some other stuff, and it's cooked to be really crunchy. I was just wondering if these would be okay to give her, (she is pregnant and has been craving some really weird stuff lately) because she does like them soooo much. I was also wondering who else has horses that like unusual snacks beside the common apple, carrot, sugar cube, and pepper mint. (one of my ponies love subway sandwiches, but don't worry, I take out the meat before I give it to him)

My pet rat tudy is the most amazing pet in the worl. im so worried about her.. yesterday afternoon she decided to take a nose dive off my sholder to the floor. i cought her mid air by her tail so my 3 cats wouldnt get her. in doing so about an inch and a half of her tail skin came off. i have searched all over the internet for info, but the best i could find for in home treatments was clean bedding, wash in salt water, neosporin, and 10 to 30 mg of asprian for pain. i have no money to take her to the vet... im keeping a casreful watch over her for any signs of infection.. but none so far... im so worried about her. i dont know what i would do if i lost her. can someone help me please????!?

I have to be careful in my selection, as it should be reasonably contained/confined or I will be breaking my lease. Also, I don't want something too difficult to care for.

I saw two posts about Proctor & Gamble's laboratory animal testing and have decided to boycott the company. I want to make sure I am not turning around and buying from another company which tests on animals. Do you know of any products/companies that definitely do not use animal testing?

I posted a question a while ago for cute name suggestions for pet rats. I got a ton of good suggestions but I'm still uncertain which one I want to pick. I decided I wanted to get another male rat. I was considering naming the 2 rats Mario and Luigi.

What do you think? Any more name suggestions are welcome. Even though I already got a ton to pick from..Im always open for more. (I like weird names)

I have a big show next weekend and I need to colour my yearling colt's mane. I have been advised the best method is to do it in sections and then wrap them in cling wrap so they don't drip and colour his neck or legs. Is this the best way? or do you know a better way? I'd only like to hear from horse people who have actually had experience with doing this before thanks...
