How could anybody think that? anyone that has ever loved a pet should know that, my dog responds to the way i feel. when i play sad songs on the piano he whimpers at my knee, and he is sad when i leave, and happy when i come back. its sad to think that there about a billion chickens all in little crates, waiting to be killed. i remember someone telling me a few years ago, that there was a golden retriever she owned, it got pregnet and gave birth to little pups, the puppies died a few days later. the mother got so depressed it slept and stayed in a closet almost all day.

i recently bought an un"broken" mare and have been working with her a lot. i rode her for the first time yesterday and again today. she bucked a bit the first time but now she is fine. i have been training her myself and things are going splendidly. my only problem is when is comes to putting a halter on her or a bridle, she will not stop moving her head and rubbing me while i try to buckle the chin strap and what not. she has no problem taking the bit, she doesn't fight me on it, it's just with the buckling of straps. i am sure that i am not being rough with her and eventually i get them closed but it's a nuisance...can anyone help me?

My dog is very small, a mixture of a minature poodle and a chuiahuhu. The thing is I often have to leave it alone for extended periods of time in a kennel because I live alone and I need to work. When I come home the dog seems to have had an enormous fit. Once I came home and the dog had tried to chew its way out of the kennel, as there was blood on the carpet and inside the kennel from trying desperately to free itself. When I do let it stay out of the kennel there are even more extreme messes everywhere. I have no idea what to do to help my dog remain calm when I am away. I have no one I can have watch the dog or even ideas of who to give it to if it must come to this.

I am going to have an internship this summer and can not bring my horse with me. I don't want her to sit all summer in the pasture and be horrible for me in fall, so I want to hire someone to ride her a couple times a week. Questions are at the end.
Background: She will be at my parent's house- outdoor arena, pasture board, other horses to ride occasionally as well. Horse is a 17.2h draft mare. Relatively quiet and sensitive and is shown 1st level dressage. Everything will be provided- she doesn't need training I just need someone to work her.
What I want in a rider is basic dressage knowledge (leg pressure and direct rein mainly) and unafraid of big horses to ride her two times a week (more if they want, but unpaid). It is just for 3 months.
How much should I pay them a month? how to go about finding one (we have all western by my parents)? examples of contracts (leasing ones maybe?) Anything I should add to requirements?
Thanks in advance!

I recently heard that the swiffer wet jet cleaning solution contains all but one of the ingredients in antifreeze and that dogs and cats have died from licking there paws after walking on the floore. Has anyone else heard anything about this?
That would probably dangerous for children too don't you think?

Why ?
And also has anyone influenced this e.g :you have a cat and spoil it like a king therefore you wish you were a cat because of the way youve treated yours.

Basically the animals are frequently doing their bussiness (peeing and poo-ing) inside the house even though were home to let them out. It started with our dog doing it's 'bussiness' in one specific area and then moving to other areas, and our cat does it as well now. is their anyway to stop them doing this, or any type of product i can use to stop them from to do it inside??

Or do they just set up traps? Traps are already set and 3 have been caught over 2 mths. I saw another mouse yesterday and have no idea where they are coming from. All the holes were patched up and they still are coming? The pest control my apt uses just set up traps. Should I arrange for a different pest control?

It is my younger sisters birthday coming up in the next few months and my mum would like to get her a guinea pig, then 2 weeks later it is my other sister's birthday and we thought we could get her one two, but keep them in different hutches. But we would like to know whether they would be ok in the same run together and playing about the house together if they have been bought two weeks apart? i have two hamsters and know that you cannot have two hamsters together unless they have been bought at the same time and are from the same family, this is why we will be putting the guinea pigs in different cages but we don't have space for two runs aswell! Also is it ok to keep guinea pigs outside in summer? as we would bring them inside in winter

I was wondering if anyone knew the gene that makes zebra have stripes?

I was just wondering, technically, what color would a zorse with a seemingly bay base coat be? Would it be a dun because of the primitive markings, or something else?
