Why does the horse need glasses

2007-01-20 06:54:06 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 1 1

It's done by many. I have worn glasses while riding. Now with contacts, I wear sunglasses while riding.

Problems that can arise, not very clear vision if you ride in the rain...(yes, got out on the trails and didn't make it back before the storm hit)
If you ride during cold weather, fogging up can happen.
I have had a big knuckle headed Appaloosa mare knock my glasses off my face when she bashed into me (from the ground though, not when riding)

I have even seen people ride horses when the horse had glasses. Costume glass at the 4H shows or FFA fun shows is a hoot!!! Those big ol' plastic clown glasses on a horse is a sight!!!

So either way, the answer is yes.

Yes, I've been wearing glasses and riding horses my entire life. Just be sure they fit well. Have fun!

You have glasses or the horse has glasses on? haha Just kidding. I think you can, but they have to be very secure on your head. Probably have to buy those bands for glasses that wrap around the back of your head.

I'd get the horse one of those bands to go around its head so the glasses dont fall off

You can if it is a calm horse you trust. I would not wear glasses on a spooky or bucky horse- I ruined a pair b/c they fell off and the horse stepped on them--or my butt landed on them when I fell, not sure which :)
I try to wear contacts as much as possible after that broken glasses incident.

It depends on if he's near or farsighted....just kidding. I have glasses and ride all the time. If you wear a helmet (which you should) it will kind of press the glasses to your skin. If you're concerned they might fall off, or if you don't wear a helmet, you can get one of those fabric things that attach your glasses tight to your head.
