Or do they just set up traps? Traps are already set and 3 have been caught over 2 mths. I saw another mouse yesterday and have no idea where they are coming from. All the holes were patched up and they still are coming? The pest control my apt uses just set up traps. Should I arrange for a different pest control?

I am the owner of a pest control company is Chicago. I have worked with Orkin on the entire east coast and am familiar with Terminix very well too. Pest Control Operators DEFINITELY should figure out where the problem is entering the house. All the Orkin branches I worked for and even my own company uses copper mesh and foam sealant to help seal up any cracks. Once the rodent gets inside it can be a battle!
Here are a couple of suggestions:
1. Buy some glue boards and put some peanut butter or chocolate on them. Place them near water sources such as under you sink, in the basement near drains, and along walls. Mice travel through the smallest cracks and crevices.
2. Try putting some pet-friendly rodent baits under the dishwasher, in the garage, utility rooms, and even the attic.
3. Inspect A/C line for possible entry point. Also check the corners of the garage for any gaps to enter. If you don't have a garage, forget that. Good luck.

Generally they do. I think a new pest control might be a good idea. If they don't tell you where the mice are coming from i am sure they would be happy to tell you if you asked. The best way to get rid of mice is to attack where they live so I'm sure they'd be able to work it out and share the information with you.

No I wouldn't.We have mice at our home we have fields around us.We just caught one the other day Yea that only took like a month.There very smart and can get through any small holes we filled every hole or so we thought and they still find there way in.Make sure you put bread and snack and chips in like a microwave so they can't eat at the.We put sticky traps and reg traps and even the mice pellets.

Well, I know how it is when you get mice because of when they did construction on my neighbor's house, they came because of the dirt field. What you do is you get some sticky traps, they sell them at dollar stores and such. Place peanut butter on the middle of the trap. Peanut butter attracts the mice and they should be gone in no time.

here is how to tell- it works great and is a lot cheaper. Lock away any other cats or dogs and then sprinkle a solid line of flour along the perimeter of each room- along the walls and doorways. Then you look for mouse prints. If you only find them coming from one room, (back of paws facing it) you know that is where they are coming in and can narrow down your search for holes.

yes i have orkin and have been very happy with them they also can use tin cats etc thats not near enough for getting them
