can someone tell me how to tell what kind of horse i have?i was told it was a pant how can i tell help please

Paints can be a breed- she could be registered paint and not have any white in the right places (solid colored paint horse).
A colored paint horse has to have white above the knees and white on the face other than between the eyes and down the nose (a blaze).

Sweety you could have any type of horse with descriptions like that. Your horse doesn't have "blonde" mane- instead in the horse world we call this flaxen. And the brown color you are referring to is called sorrel or in some cases chestnut. You should log onto www.apha.com and go to their breed standard pages. They will tell you exactly which white markings qualify your horse as a paint. Most likely if your horse has white stockings that extend above the hock and knee this is considered at paint.

I would also go to the library or look on the internet for charts on different horses and their colors. This way you can be more accurate in describing your horse.

A Paint or Pinto is a color. They do not generally have a blonde anything. The accepted colors are white with brown and white with black without dappling. There is an American Paint Registry, but your horse could also be be a Quarter horse or a Thoroughbred. Do you have a history of your horses lineage. Where either the Stud or the Mare registered?

I do not know the requirements for a Registered Paint, but if you contact them they could give you their guidelines.

It can be a paint or a pinto. You need to check with it's paper's if any. Would have to see pictures to tell anything.
