What do you call those "cone" shaped collars vets usually put on an animal to keep it from licking/scratching a wound? And where can you buy them?

I recently bought a monkey for a pet. He is a little less than 1 year old. He likes to throw his fecies around in my basement. Yesterday I had been in the basement giving him some food and he threw some of his poop and it hit me in my face. Some of it had gotten into my mouth (disgusting I know, not the most pleasant taste.) Anyway, I was wondering if I could get any type of disease from this and whether I should go to a doctor.

My much loved Cat passed away six weeks ago very unexpectedly and whilst he was still quite young (10). I have found it very difficult to cope with. I am relatively normal (in so far that any of us is!) and have found my very deep grief and reaction surprising and a little worrying. Can anyone offer advice?

I have just recently bought a millipede. Yes, you read that right, a millipede. I was just wondering if anyone else owns this remarkable pet and, if so, have any advice for me?! I have noticed that he has pincer-looking things on his face, and he nibbles on me occasionally. I have looked at websites and they say that they are relatively harmless, so then what is he doing to me!? It feels very odd, and slightly uncomfortable!

Strongly considering getting a gerbil and wanted some info on members who have or have had a gerbil already. I have had a hamster in the past so already know the basics, but from what I've read (and I've done a lot lately) gerbils are a little different as far as care. So I would greatly appreciate any advice on care, male or female (and i do plan on getting 2 so they don't get lonely), things to watch for when purchasing them, brands of items, health problems, ect. I already have a large crittertrail cage that i purchased for my hamster, but from what i've read i wasn't sure this would be the best option. Also what kinds of bedding do you recommend? I've heard non-scented toilet paper is the best. Any other helpful hints are also welcome. Thanks

I'm working with a horse right now that doesn't want anything to do with stoping or flexing or being supple. He locks his neck against preshure when i ask him to whoa and fights to stay straight when i ask him to turn. He needs to be able to wear a bit. I don't want to put anything harsh on him either. he wears a thin snaffle already. he isn't hard mouthed he just needs to flex and give to preshure. i've tried everything i can think of and need some advise. if you have any questions about his training or anything else you can IM me.

What are horses?
They are the key to our past.
The creatures that where once brought by the Europeans, All of our ancestors where horseman, weather they where slaves, cowboys, Indians, farmers, or teachers.
They where used for transportation and tractors.
They started the car, the horsepower, and the buggy, all which where used by our ancestors.
The horses never gave up. It was we.
We gave up on them.
Now used for dressage, jumper, heavy riding.
Never let go on what horses once where, America’s past.
Let the wild run wild, and Let the tamed be free.
Don’t let us hold them down.
On once what, where wild horses.
All the bays, blacks, greys, blues, reds, and all the breeds.
Let the horses run free. Let them live the past.
Don’t make them suffer through endurance.
Just hop on their backs and ride.
Let the free run free, and let the wars go on.
All horses must live because they are the key.
Just let them be.

My friend wants to give her mouse she has had for a year for a gerbil. I think that is not loving to give a pet away for no reason other than that she wants somthing better (In her mind). She has told me she loves her mouse more than one time.

My mom is calling me like I have a clue. So can you give a lower dose of dog flea drops on cats? Both are grown. The dog only weighs about 8lbs. So he is not much bigger than the cat. Any help would be great.
