I wouldn't advise it. You may be able to train them but it is only a matter of time before they revert to their wild selves and turn on you.

Ha Ha No way! There is a small zoo near where I live, and they have a hyena. It is one of the smartest and most dangerous animals there is. They have taught he dozens of behaviors which he will happily do for treats, but they say that there is no trusting him. They simply do not go into the cage with him at all. They teach him to press various body parts against the cage bars, so if he ever needs medical treatment they can do it without taking him out.
A wolf that was this well trained would be no problem; even big cats can be handled, with care. But it seems the hyena develops no sense of friendship or loyalty, no matter how much he learns. And they have very powerful jaws.

I saw an ad for hyena pups the other day and the man said he was using them for security and bomb sniffing!

i seriously doubt if you could domesticate one, and after seeing videos of them i'm not sure why you would want to...

no, they're not pets. They are not domesticated.
