I need some neat facts about animals so I can make going to the zoo more interesting for my niece. Any idea where I can go to get them? Or If you have some of your own?

I'm going to the zoo this week also...we go about 10 times a year actually, we are members.
Each time we go I spend a little time on the web site to see what's new. This way when we go I can make each experience different from the last.

Most zoos have signs in front of each enclosure with a bit of info on each animal.

I would suggest National Audubon Society Field Guides.
These are great books for quick refrence, I have the entire set but you could prob just get a couple books covering like, african animals and such and be ok.

elephants can "hear" through their feet, every aquatic mammal gives birth to young who weigh at least 7 kilograms(except for sea otters but that's where the story gets interesting), the closest living relative to the manatee is the elephant, fungi (mushrooms and such) are soon going to be classified as animals, crocodiles are the oldest, unchanged species known to man...
i can't think of any more right now.
