my new betta fish died and before i found it dead it had a tendancy to not move or sink to the ground. He would not eat today and the water temp was consistant at 73 F. I only have a Betta bowl and a Betta light. I fed him a few Frozed red grubs yesterday.

We had a dwarf gourami and after treating the tank for ick he appeared with two large brown spots on his scales. One on his belly under his head and the other on his side. I did take pictures if anyone thinks they might have an idea but would need to see i can send them. He died the next morning and now i just had another fish (a Molly) die this morning and she too had a brown spot. Now my Angel fish is showing signs of it. Can anyone help before i loose all my fish!

Im about 2 breed my bettas, i have my female and male, they have seen each other in a tank with a devider and my male is in a 5 gallon tank making a bubble nest. i heard that you need to feed betta fry microworms after the first 3 days (when they are free swimers) and it takes 3-7 days. how do i hatch microworms and were do i get the eggs?

I have a pond that contains 6 Kois. I have had them for 5yrs now.
We bought them when they were about an inch long and now they are about a foot or bigger in length.

How come they haven't mated yet?
How do you tell them apart, male and female?
I know the duller colors are usually the female, what are the chances that 6 out of 6 are all the same sex?
Is there something that we can do to help reproduce?

We have hiding places, plants and such in there, but we never ever see any eggs, or hatchlings.

Do they really inject painted Glass Fish with ink when they are little to make them change colors? If so, wouldn't that be potentially harmful to the fish?
And if they dont inject them, how do they get that pretty color?

I have 2 turtles. Does it make a difference if there is gravel in the tank or not? I'm just curious, because I've seen most of the tanks without. What's your opinion?

It's a Gardneri Clown Killifish. I'd have to order it direct, which I'm a little wary of, but I'd absolutely love to center a community tank around one or two. This is probably a small gimme spell that will never end up happening, but humor me anyway. What's it like?

There is something VERY weird going on with my betta. I have no idea what is wrong and need some help, its actually scaring me.

I posted this question a month ago, please take a look:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhXayTPq2VHvoYC5dONlzVbsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071128165614AAXVlyF

Now, it hasn't been eating in about 3 months. I see him floating up to the top, so I put some food in there (tube worms) and he actually ate! It's VERY rare that he does this. When he comes up to the top he sort of.. like, floats to the side. He has trouble swimming because his tail end keeps floating up. For the past 3 months he just hides in the plants and doesn't bother moving.

This has got me SO confused. I haven't got him any medicine because I don't know what it is that I'm treating. I hate seeing my fish like this.

He does have a light so the water is heated, in case you wanted to know.

Please help

The water has this light tint to it, like it's not a deep fog but a touch of white to the water, and it's not the light. Do you know what's causing this? Is it bad? If it is how do I stop it?

If so, how do you wash them?

I thought instead waisting money buying new once just re-use them.

Or is it better to get new rocks?

i have him in a 40 gallon tank for now because i just purchased him two days ago. I have two ghost tubes in there and i have a huge castle that fish can go in and out of, but the BGK never leaves the inside of the castle. I also have some other plants which can serve as hiding places. I understand that he is nocturnal but the people at the pet store said that if i get the ghost tubes that he would hide in those as well. is he being over timid because he is adjusting to his new home or this there anorhter reason for his over-shyness? Any help would be useful.

Hi,
There's gonna be a few questions, so if you could read ALL of the stuff below and answer then that would be great! :)
I have a 29 gallon and currently with 6 female bettas, 1 3 1/2" bristlenose pleco, and 4 bronze corydoras. I have a heater that is adjustable but I have it set to 76F and I have an external whisper power filter that has 30-55 gallon gph rate. I have a ton of plastic plants, a small chunk of driftwood for my pleco, and some live java moss growing on the driftwood. I also have three large rock hideouts I made with aquarium glue and rocks that were boiled and cleaned w/out soap. Anyways, here are the questions.

#1. I was thinking about getting some more fish and I wanted to know if I could get four emerald cories along with some more female bettas?

#2. If I could get 4 emerald cories with some more female bettas, how many more bettas can I get?

#3. I always loved emerald cories because they seemed like bigger bronze cories w/ a greenish tint, so therefore
