i have a 12 1/2 week old german shepherd. he pees all the time anywhere he wants. including in his crate....which is the right size for him. when i got him he was 8 weeks and he always asked to go out and i praised his an praised him for it..but then he stopped asking and he would pee on the floor...with no warning so i took him to the vet and she put him on antibiotics for possible bladder infection. after the 7 days there was no change. i have tried leaving nothing but i toy in his crate with him and he still pees. if i leave blankets he pees on them then pushes them aside. im taking him out about every hour. Every day i continue to watch him like a hawk.... and im letting him out about every half hour when hes loose. A few nights i have been real tired and not woken up to take him out and he has been able to hold it 5 hours. but normally he has trouble with and hour...im really puzzled.... if any one has had a similar experience can u tell me how it turned out please???

I have a yorkie and she's three years old and one of the main problems I have with her is that she doesn't listen to me or to anyone in the household. If I call her she doesn't come unless she feels like it, and just today she ran outside and she kept running even though I was calling her to stop but she just wouldn't and I live right in front of an avenu so I was pretty scare, she's not used to be walking on her own. So the question is waht can I do to make her listen, help me.

My girlfriendwas playing with my dog (6 months after we got together) and there heads bumped each other. She got a very large cut in her mouth (almost needed stiches). Ever since then a very bad form of allergies has gotten worse every day. Could this be becuase of her new fear for my dog. My dog is a pitbull mix. And is there any evidence anywhere on this subject if so in order for me to show her?

I went to view some puppies last weekend to buy as a Christmas present. They were 9 wks old Chihuahuas and I put a deposit on one last Sunday and the breeder said would hold til Christmas for me and the pup would get its parvo shot.

I found out this friday that my puppy i picked died on Wednesday at the vet from Parvo, along with two other puppies so far. The breeder said I just need to make sure I bleach my shoes and wash my clothes I wore that day in bleach. But since it has been almost going on a week since I went to the breeder's house, am I wrong in thinking I need to disinfect EVERYTHING in my house with Bleach? Also, I'm still planning on getting a puppy from a different breeder sometime in the future, am I better off moving to a different apartment in the complex so the new puppy doesnt get Parvo or is that overkill??? I know Parvo is a deathly deathly disease I just dont know if I should wait longer even though the infected puppy was never in my home....?

I purchased a 7 wk old boxer on a saturday afternoon. We took him home and noticed how sick he was he had a really bad breathing problem and had a fould bowel movement covered in a milky slime, diahrea and vomitting. We called the vet and got him in on tuesday. He had an upper respitory infection and was malnurished. They didn't find parasites in his stools. She was suppose to have provided us with the breed paperwork for her boxer and the father so we could get our boxer registered. She didn't want to pay the costs. He also was not vaccinated and I was very concerned so she said just to let her know if we needed anything or whatnot. I kept emailing and calling the seller and she wouldn't not return my calls or email me back. So I stopped payment on the check I gave her. Sure enough she contacted me a week later and said she would give me papers. She still hasn't and now her husband calls to bitch me out and wants the dog or payment. What do I do. Am I in the wrong or is she?

I'm about ready to put up my artificial Christmas Tree, but I'm afraid my incredibly hyper and powerful 10-month-old pitbull will knock it down as he tears through the house. How should I prevent this?

If you brought them to someone's house and there was a cat there, I don't think they'd kill it. But if it was a rabbit or squirrel or something they would (if they could catch it). How do they know that cats aren't something they should hunt and kill? Or do they kill cats?

she is a malamute and has her winter coat but on her back if I seperate her skin, I see crusty skin and the undercoat I guess, can come off very easily if I pick on it.

I got her from the shelter this way so its not something she has seen the vet about.

I was told alot of dogs have flea allergies. Does this mean she is going to lose her coat or just have little clumps of hair fall out? Trust me, she has plenty.

BTW.. she doesnt have fleas. Is there some sort of bath or meds I can give her so her skin isnt dry? Its only in some spots on her back, fortunately.

And thanks to everyone's answers, I hate picking best answer, ugh.

My dog has been getting a lot of eye boogers, and I was wondering if there's anything that I can drop in to clear it up. All I have been doing, is cleaning his eyes with a towel, but today it was on his eye and I do know that if it stays there, it can blind him. If there is anything I can put now, please tell me, also tell me if this is a matter of taking him to the vet. Thanks in advance.

I have a large (fat!) yellow lab who can chew through a pigs ear in 5 minutes. She loves the big rawhide bones we give her and she can chew through those in an hour or less. I've read that they're bad so I think we shouldn't give them to her. She doesn't like toys...only her ball. Plastic squeaky toys don't amuse her. She chews these bones and leaves little shards all over the house. She also coughs and almost throws up...what's a safe alternative that I can easily buy from a pet store?

Every so often my dog will just go off. He will start running circles around our house, and if we let him outside he tears circles around the lawn running full speed. If he is inside and we corner him to make him stop he will run small circles in the space he has. I dont mind, I think its funny, I was wondering if this is common in dogs or what it means, thanks.
