I HAVE 3 DOGS. ..THE MOTHER IS ON THE CHAIN AND THE TWO SISTER DOGS ARE FREE TO RUN! ALL FEMALE DOGS...HERE IS THE PROBLEM. .THE YOUNGEST DOG . ..ONLY A YEAR OLD IS ATTACTICKING HER OLDER SISTER WHICH IS CAUSING THE OLDER SISTER TO BE VERY SCARY. IT IS A NIGHTMARE. .. I HAD TO STAND OUTSIDE TO MAKE SURE THE OLDER SISTER DOG ATE!! I END UP BEATING THE DOG UNTIL SHE RAN AWAY FROM ME... (WHILE I DIDN'T SHOW THE DOG I WAS AFRAID. ..I WAS AFRAID AND SAD BECAUSE THIS DOG IS PART SHERPARD AND VERY SMART. I BELIEVE IF THE MOMMA DOG WASN'T ON THE CHAIN THIS MAY NOT BE HAPPENING BUT THEN AGAIN SOMETIME SHE HELPS TO GANG UP ON THE OLDER SISTER) HELP WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I sent them to my niece house, and i haven't visited them in 5 days. I only discovered it today. She hits them too, but I don't think that may be the problem. They refuse to eat, but mostly that is Blackie. She won't eat by my hand either. i can't take them to the vet cause if I brought the wrong dog, I may not be able to pay for it. So thas anyonbe had that problem with their dogs? Cause I don't want to lose them if it is possible they could die from it.

Our dog has tiny red bumps all over her tummy and underside of her legs. No pus, but they are itchy and she scratches all the time. Vet said it could be a rash, could be allergies. Since the rash is localized on just one area (not on her whole body), does that indicate that it is NOT her food that she's allergic to? I assume a food allergy would affect her whole body?

Any thoughts or experiences would help. The vet doesn't seem too concerned but I hate to see her uncomfortable... he said to give her a benadryl but of course I want to find the root of the problem too.

hi, i recently purchased a 3 month old mini pincsher. when we brought him home he was very playful and had a great appetite. the next day he started a hacking dry cough. I've had small breeds before as puppys and almost all of them had kennel cough which cleared up eventually. so i figured it was kennel cough in my mini pin. i took him to the vet ..that same day and he perscribed me amoxcillin twice a day. we have been giving him his antibiotic as perscribed and he seemed to get better for about a day. hardly any coughing but still some. His appetite has never decreases and drinks water regularly. although we did have a problem with the water drinking at first. he plays alot although too much excitement will produce this cough. and sleeps well too. so everything about him seems normal excepttt now his cough has turned into a more wet sounding cough. like hes congested. nothing comes up but definately sounds different. poor baby . we took him back to the vet and he said his lungs sounded a little congested and said to continue with the antibiotics. but hes sounding more congested now than ever. again he only coughs like this when he is active. and his nose is dripping, but its clear almost like water. what should i do..what could it be? please help im very very worried.
thannk you
jackie

My fiance & I just bought or first home and are excited to finally be able to get our first dog together!!! What breed should we look for? Some considerations: we already have a grumpy old cat, we both work 8 hours a day (so the dog will have to be alone at home during this time), and we do have a large fenced in back yard... What do you think?

I have a 4 yr old yorkshire terrier right now that is very small, 4 pounds. I have always wanted to get a doberman but I'm not sure if this is a horrible idea or not. Do you think I can get a puppy and teach him to be very gentle with the yorkie and still trust to have them around each other when alone. my yorkie is a neutered male, and not at all dominant. Is it better for me to get a girl dob? Any info on dobs would be appreciated.

I have 2 large dogs and every month I give them the heartworm stuff but because they're so big it's pretty expensive. They're indoors 80% of the time by their choice, I think that's typical of Great Danes though, I think that might be why they're sometimes called Castle Dogs But anyways so because they're indoors so much whats the chance that they'd really get heartworms? How do dogs get heartworms? Am I wasting my money? I want to keep my dogs healthy but I don't want to buy the heartworm meds if its highly unlikely that they'd get heartworms anyways. What do you guys think? Thank you in advance for your answers.
