we just got the puppy, the old owner say she is used to using newspaper. so I was wondering when you have carpet throughout. where do you put the newspaper? and do you need to put anything underneath?
I just got up at 6am. and she went 2 times inside, but took her outside. all she does is lay down, she wont "find a spot" to go in yard? I have tried all sites here and nothing has helped. so thought I would ask 'trained" dog owners.
and my cats eat the dog food also, should I stop them from doing this? will it hurt my cats. and the dog likes the cat food. and im afraid when noone is home(work and school) they will eat it.

Why do a lot of dog walkers seem to take offense when my 4 year old son runs to me screaming (and I have to lift him up) if a dog comes near him?
On the practical side, how can I help my son get over his fear (he was bitten by a small dog over a year ago, and since then he's been terrified of them)?
Is it wise to have them get over their fear of dogs? when we've gone abroad there have been dangerous looking stray dogs, I think it would be best if my son is afraid and doesn't approach them.

I have recently been told my 2yr old boxer has a congenital heart murmur vet has gaven her beta blockers to slow down her heart as it is having to work to hard. Her heart is enlarged and has already suffered damage to the muscles.Told her life would be considerably shortened has anybody else had a similar experience and is there any hope she could still lead a long life.

my grandmother is out of town for a few days, so my brohter had to sleep with her dog, he cant stand the constanat:
1. barking
2. scratching the door
3.whining!

he comes into my room holding the demon animal, and tells me to take her and he will take Freak. she doesnt do anything, just lays on my bed while i play on the computer. Rosie on the other hand, barks, yips, whines, scratches on the door.

i go to get her to take her to my brother cause i said id only take her if i could get Freak back. i notice she took a dump on the floor! so i pick her up, take her to his room, and tell him all about her.

he tells me to go into the den and get her kennel, so i do. then i cant get her in. so i take her back to my brother, and he gets her in.

im wondering if i should leave her in there the whole night, since she wouldnt stop scratching at the door, then i find she crapped on my floor. she has shut up since then too, but she looks like she wants to kill everyone.

I once knew a Great Dane that was fed every day but suddenly suffered a dramitic weight loss but when the stool was looked at( not by a vet but by the owner) there was no evidence of worms.

Some howl as the ambulance approaching. Some bark at nowhere(maybe at ghosts). Some always know when its owners coming home and wait at the door, and more.

There are dangerous chemicals in the cleaners used for floors. It can really make your dog, or other animals sick, since they pick up crumbs from the floor.

-The vet said over the phone that she should be ok but she is my little baby & I wanna be sure that they are right, I want to make sure its not enough chocolate to make her sick but I was reading online that it can take 24 hours to make her sick or for it to be fatal. Its been about 3 hours & I mean she seems fine but i just wanna be sure & see if this has happened to anyone else. I was so upset that this even happened but he is a little boy & didnt realize & by the time we caught him she had ate it already. Lik I said it was just one chocolate chip cookie and she is a 20 lb. Pug/beagle mix. Thanks!
