The only one who can honestly answer this question is the dog. So, go ahead and ask " is it fun for you when I stick hard objects in your bum?" If you do not receive a positive answer to your question then you have probably traumatized the animal for life and they will never speak again.
You will need to spend the rest of your life making it up to them.
