my grandmother is out of town for a few days, so my brohter had to sleep with her dog, he cant stand the constanat:
1. barking
2. scratching the door
3.whining!

he comes into my room holding the demon animal, and tells me to take her and he will take Freak. she doesnt do anything, just lays on my bed while i play on the computer. Rosie on the other hand, barks, yips, whines, scratches on the door.

i go to get her to take her to my brother cause i said id only take her if i could get Freak back. i notice she took a dump on the floor! so i pick her up, take her to his room, and tell him all about her.

he tells me to go into the den and get her kennel, so i do. then i cant get her in. so i take her back to my brother, and he gets her in.

im wondering if i should leave her in there the whole night, since she wouldnt stop scratching at the door, then i find she crapped on my floor. she has shut up since then too, but she looks like she wants to kill everyone.

I think you and your brother both ought to spend the night in the kennel. The dog is obviously upset and needs reassurance. Not every dog is content to sit around doing nothing for hours while you play on the computer, especially when separated from her companion human. Because you are not ready to deal with her, I think it would be best if she does spend the night in her kennel. Not as punishment, just to keep her from getting yelled at and upset. Tomorrow, you should try to give her some love and attention and play with her some.

It seems to me that the dog, Rosie is it, misses your grandmother. I don't think you should leave her in the crate all night especially if it is a small one. If she was barking and whining and scratching at the door and then took a dump on your floor she might had been trying to tell you that she had to go. So if you do take her out of the kennel and she starts the scratching and whining, I would suggest you take her out to see if she has to go to the bathroom.

Take the dog to a boarding kennel. Obviously, none of you are pet people. I don't know of anyone who wouldn't have figured that the dog needed to go outside to take care of his bodily functions when he scratched on the door and whined.
Taking care of animals is a big responsibility, especially if it's someone elses animal. I don't think you're up to the job. The best thing for both you and more importantly, the dog, is to place it in a competent boarding kennel, and notify it's owner of the change ASAP.

My dog does that too. I actually think it's cute and funny. You're right, it is a big change from the dogs that just lay there(My last dog was like that ) My new dog now doesnt poo anymore, and he's not as active so I guess you just have to give the dog time. Rosie is probably trying to look for your grandma. My dog looks around and stuff every time my mom goes to the store.

Put him on a leash and take him out for a good long walk. He needs to expend some pent up energy from being in the house all day. He probably misses grandma too. Take him for a walk and pay a little attention to him and he'll probably be alright.

Be aggressive. My dogs whine scratch the door to open even if theyre not coming in, they are spoiled and like the option of staying or going.

The poor dog is needing some love, & attention, but no one seems to care. It's the dog's way, of being lonely,& crying out for help. Remember they can't talk, & tell you what's bothering them. Please don't be so cold about it,the poor animal is trying to comunicate, the only way it know's how.

She needed to go potty when she was barking and whining..but her care-takers were too busy to notice...You would do it in your pants too, if nobody would let you in the bathroom.

You would also be likely to want to kill everyone who locked you out of the bathroom.
