I've known it for a year so i'm not a stranger. First it started biting at my ankles(playfully i thought!) but when i gave it my hand (to smell) it growled then bit my finger. My brother says it might be my after shave. Any thoughts??

She is a very good puppy and i don't want to have to put her in a cage or put a muzzle on her during the day while i am at work. She is well house trained besides the chewing. please help

Hi well my Dog is a lab he is one years old We are training him in a school in Columbia SC for search and Rescue and Kadiving.. We feed him 3 weel balanced meals a day with special dog food from the clinic and he is a inside dog during the night and roams free in our 8 acres during they day. We take him out the lake to jump off the dock and catch his favorite dummy toy which is 20 lbs since he is still only a year old and then we take a life vest and have him pull me in slowly then i let go when he gets tired ( all recommended by the Instructor) I had a man at the lake tell me he was going to report me for DOG ABUSE!!! He is loved and well well cared for i mean he has his own fund to go to school on and have free medical whenever he needs it for the rest of his life i was just wondering I mean does that guy have the right or will they prove him wrong with the info i have given?

So, I have a question for everyone. If I'm attacked by a person who looks a certain way (particular race) should I hate everyone in that race because of my one encounter with this person? So why hate all pit bulls for what you hear about the FEW doing? Isn't that being prejudice?

I don't want answers saying that pits should be killed or anything like that. I have a pit and I love her.

I have a 12 month old chocolate lab who is in her second week of heat. After much diliberation I think I'm going to have her spayed. Shes very energetic which I like, mild tempered, and listens well. I'm wondering if spaying her is going to affect her personality at all.

When dogs sneeze they don't blow "boogers" like humans do. They don't get "crusties" like we do either. How come?

The other day, I caught my dog with 2 or his mates (also dogs) behind the garden shed smoking cigarettes, what punishment should I give him? (Ive told him never to smoke) he is sooo disobedient, he never listens to me anymore.

Serious answers only please.

My dog finished her season a few weeks ago but since that time I have noticed her nipples getting larger and they appear to have like a small dark patch surrounding them.

I did not take her out and only allowed her in the garden when she was on her season and i certainly did not see her and a dog having it away!

Could this be a phantom pregnancy; I have an Irish Setter?

Is it normal for my pet pug to go completely nuts after a bath? Everytime I bath him he goes friggin blastic after I lift him out of the bathtub, he's running around the house going crazy like a crack whore in rehab. When I try and dry him off he plays with the towel, bites it and plays tug-a-war with it. Is he in pain? Does he hate baths? Is he happy? What do you think?

Please help us! We recently inherited a new poodle mix from which my girlfriend's sister got from the pound. We also have a cockapoo whom we've had for almost 2 years now. First week we received Tango (the poodle mix) he was great, Bo and Tango got along great, even when left alone for an hours or so. However, today we left them alone for an hour or two, to go to a Dr's appointment. When I came back we found Bo covered in pee cowering in the corner of the dining room!!! We got him washed walked them both for about half an hour and we left them a bit to have dinner, once again coming home to the same thing!!! What caused this new behavior?! This never happened before!! Please help!!!!!
