The only true PURE breed cocker spaniel can be found in Britain.

Call a Veterinarian in your area, they will have a list of Cocker Spaniel rescue groups.
Good for you, looking at an adult and a rescue too. I wish there were more folks like you.

I can't imagine WHY you're having trouble-there are GAZILLIONS of em!
Call your local(county)kennel club first.Go to shows & MEET them.Talk to people who actually KNOW & CARE about their breed.
And...it's PUREBRED.
