Is it normal for my pet pug to go completely nuts after a bath? Everytime I bath him he goes friggin blastic after I lift him out of the bathtub, he's running around the house going crazy like a crack whore in rehab. When I try and dry him off he plays with the towel, bites it and plays tug-a-war with it. Is he in pain? Does he hate baths? Is he happy? What do you think?

LOL my dog of 13yrs has done that since she was a baby, shed get all crazy and run circles stop real fast then go agian it is so cute. I also had a pug named sassy she loved to drink pepsie & eat kitty litter we would leave to go somwhere, when we would come back the pepsi cans would be knocked over & she'd be all hyper. She also loved to sleep on my head at night. (RIP Sassy 1995-2000)

Your lucky you can actually get yours into the bath. My pug acts like a maniac anytime he sees me get out the dog shampoo. He will run around the house as fast as he can before I can catch him. Then his tail uncurls and he gives me the saddest look ever while I am bathing him. I feel so guilty when I have to get him wet. Afterwards, mine does the same thing. He runs around like he's crazy. I think it is just because he is so glad to be out of the bath and he doesn't want me to catch him again. My pug likes to get towel dried off, but he likes to bite and play with the towel too.

My pug gets all crazy after her baths too, I think its cuz she doesnt really like the bath but shes good when I bathe her so when its all over she SOOO ahppy & she knows she was good so she just gets SUPER excited cuz its over & she was a good doggy & she knows Im happy w her!!! I think its normal. My little pug gets kinda crazy ANY time she thinks she might get a bizkit or when she knows Im excited or happy

Dog hates bath. But the owner has a responsibility to bath his/her dog. Wether the dog like it or not.

Yes all puppy's do that well most anyway he's problem happy that he's clean and that the bath is over with.

Your dog is very NORMAL
He loves his bath
He is showing off. Look at me I am clean.
Just playing when he tugs at the towel.
He is happy! :-)

i am assume that this is your first small dog that sounds to me like frap all it is that your dog is going to adulthood. so don't worry it will stop about 3 to 6 month if not your dog has a form of rebelling him self.

he is playing ...most dogs love this be happy he is enjoying all the fuss.....just stand back or wear a raincoat let him be .......it is perfectly normal just be thankfull he isnt a great dane or you would get really soaked hahahaha

this is gonna sound weird, but my dog when she has nasty poo, we have to wash her butt, and she goes balistic too! she rubs her wet butt on everything! running around as fast as she can! its hilarious, we encourage her to do it cause it makes her tired and she'll sleep 4 the rest of the day!
