Wow...that sounds like a really full house! LOL
As long as you have the time, and can afford another dog, then it sounds like a swell idea. There are so many dogs that need good homes. I picked up my purebred German Shepherd from the local animal shelter. You can even find puppies there! There also German Shepherd rescue organizations that sometimes have puppies. You can run a search on Petfinder.com if you are interested.
There are a few problems with having multiple dogs, and you probably already know this. With more than two dogs, you can get a type of pack mentality with your dogs. Sometimes they will fight each other for dominance, there will be squabbles, and you may have to feed them seperately so they don't fight over food. You may have to keep in mind the possibility of finding a new home for a dog if the fighting ever gets out of hand.
The other thing is that it is harder to train multiple dogs. You may have to train each dog individually so they pay attention to you and not each other.
If you are looking to get a different breed of dog, I recommend getting a dog that is at least medium sized. That way, all your dogs can play together without accidentely hurting each other.
With that in mind, I say, go for it! More puppies to love!
Hope this helps

Get a Shelter Mutt.
They make fantastic pets. Call ahead to the shelter and ask about family rooms. That's where you can take all the dogs to meet and greet any potential sibling in a private room. No guesses on how the new comer will get along, just take who ever they all fall in love with. Your 3 Shepards can pick their own new buddy.
It is usually SPCA who offers the "family room" service, but other shelters have them as well.
Good Luck

i don't see anything wrong with getting a 4th dog...my friends' have 4 dogs right now, and they are all doing just fine. they are all mixed breeds though, so i can't really answer your question.
except, my hubby had a german shepard and a beagle at the same time once. the shepard was really nice and fatherly towards the beagle, and let him eat first all the time since he was smaller. it was a great bond.
but since you have 3, i would try and stick with a medium-larger sized breed. a lab maybe? they are pretty easy going.

first of all, can you afford a fourth dog? Do you have enough room for a fourth dog? Can you walk and train and give attention to all four dogs? If yes, then i have a list of breeds that i love:
1)labradors
2)huskies
3)rotweiler

I recommend another Shepherd. They don't do well, in groups, with other breeds. Also, they tend to kill puppies.

I love dogs, just remeber the more you get the more they become like a pack and might not listen to your commands adn as their master they need to listen to you.
